Thank you to everyone for your replies, and feedback. I was inactive for a while here because MCP Wasn't released so I couldn't make tutorials for 1.2.3 It is now updated. Starting tomorrow I will start making more tutorials. I will probably start with armor.
Sorry buddy for the late reply. Can you repost any questions you still have. I was inactive for a while there because MCP wasn't released so it was impossible for me to try to check peoples errors, as well as make new tutorials. Anyways, both Modloader and MCP are now released and starting tomorrow(Monday) I'm going to start making tutorials. I will start with Armor for sure. It's your long overdue request. I meant to get it out this weekend but obviously because of 1.2 updates I couldn't do that.

These Tutorials are awesome.
First: Im assuming that the jungle texture errors are a bug on part of either modloader or the new version of Minecraft rather than programmer error.
Second: As a suggestion, would you perhaps show how to make an entity such as a modified crafting table or furnace?
I'll be sure to watch the Armor videos =)
I think that you have to fill in the coordinates for terrain.png and draw a block in terrain.png on the coordinates you choose.
And delete the override part.

import java.util.Random;
public class mod_Swaginite extends BaseMod

BlockSwaginite = (new BlockSwaginite(130, ModLoader.addOverride("/terrain.png", "/Swaginite/Swag.png"))).setHardness(3f).setResistance(5f).setStepSound(Block.soundStoneFootstep).setBlockName("SwaginiteBlock");

I've looked over it about 5 times now and can't seem to find an error. I did just test the override function and it DID work. In 1.2.3. I already recorded a short video explaining some conflicts none of which are in your code. I will now record the armor tutorial which may take me 15 min to a half hour, while that is rendering I will come and check out your code again. Sometimes breaks give me brain flashes. Lol. All i know is i tested it, and it worked. Try changing around the block ID's etc.

Armor tutorial is done and filmed and I will begin the render now. After that I will upload but itll probably be another 3 hours before it's done and rendered.
Possibly.
If i were you, I would start with a brand new freshly downloaded MCP as well as ModLoader.
I would then ForceUpdate Minecraft.
Then I would delete the meta-inf and install ModLoader and insert thoose into the brand new jars folder in MCP
Then I would re-decompile.
I know it's a lot of boring work, but who knows maybe you do have a buggy or even OUTDATED ModLoader/Jar/ Or MCP. I'm not really sure.

Hmm are you sure your Override directory for your custom block is right?
Hmm another possiblity. In BlockSwaginite your super statement has a space after the j. Yours is - "super(i, j );" Try making it - "super(i, j);" I'm not sure if that makes much of a difference.
Also is your texture in both "minecraft.jar" inside of your jars folder AND the temp folder?
Those are my three guesses although I bet the second one is whats wrong. I hope!
I was hoping that at one point you could make a tutorial on how to make a tool (e.g. sword) and be able to make it give special affects on mobs (e.g. fire, poison etc). And maybe you could be able to make a tutorial on how to make the sword affective on cerstain mobs (e.g. really strong on creepers). I was also hoping you could tell me how to be able to make a customizable item out of 2 other customizable items and them use them to make a sword.
Thank you.

Ya I can make the tool tutorials. As for making an item out of two others, just create a crafting recipe. If you haven't watch my crafting recipe tutorial, you should watch it. As for making them into a sword I'll make that tutorial soon. Thanks for the feedback!
i had to add my block twice to fix block texture glitch now i have a couple more id's taken up than i thought
Oh well, I also beleive that in 1.2 that Block Id's were expanded alot farther so you can have alot more of them. Don't worry I think it can go up to 4000 but im not sure.
