And then decompile. If you're using windows, I have no idea, perhaps you did not put in the files properly? Try again.
Without modloader:
I have no idea, since I use modloader. Um, maybe your files are not placed correctly, or maybe something went wrong? Also, did you use clean bin and resources folders? Check, you must have clean ones, except when decompiling mods.
I don't have any snacks and I don't have a stress ball...I don't know if I should keep going...
Haha, this actually takes quite little time if you look at it carefully. Everything is kind of like english. (I'm going on the assumption that you're talking about the tutorials for mod making) So... yea, I wish you good luck! :biggrin.gif:
Is it possible to add custom sounds without audio mod. I have custom .ogg sounds and put them in resources\newsound\mob and I put the right file names in the entity file but they wont play.

Simple enough...do you need modloader for audio mod?
nope. But if I didn't remember wrongly, you need audiomod to load the .ogg files you need to load from modloader. So...I can't really say, try both options, with modloader and without.
hey people wondering if anyone can help me please i want to make a multi block with modloader i can make this simply in normal minecraft ive search the forum and google for my answer before posting but didnt find anything to useful this is abit of the code ive found
public class BlockNewBlock extends Block
{
private int topTexture = ModLoader.addOverride( "/terrain.png", "/top.png");
private int sideTexture = ModLoader.addOverride( "/terrain.png", "/side.png");
public int getBlockTextureFromSide(int i)
{
if(i == 0 || i == 1)
return topTexture;
else
return sideTexture;

With or without modloader?
With Modloader:
If you're using a mac, follow this steps, do NOT use your archive manager method. Open your terminal, and type:
put in your modloader files, then type this IN STEPS, NOT ALL AT ONCE:
And then decompile. If you're using windows, I have no idea, perhaps you did not put in the files properly? Try again.

You mean a block that loads the textures differently for different sides? If you are, take a look here: http://zidmc.x10.bz/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=477
