Converting Models from Source Games to Minecraft.
Hello, if any of you have any source games, this is a tutorial on how to take a model from that source game and have it in Minecraft (Made of blocks of course) Tools Needed:
Crafty
Obj2Mc
McEdit
A brain.

Step 1. Open Crafty. Go to Setup->Profiles->[Pick game]
Step 2. Go to view->Model Browser
Step 3. In Model Browser, find a model you want, right click on file, then export as a .obj
Step 4. Open Obj2Mc, import the .obj. Important: Make sure that you have it selected to open .obj files
Step 5. Click Convert.
Step 6. Find Converted .Schematic file, drag into, Documents->McEditSchematics
Step 7. Open Mcedit and load a level
Step 8. Click Import and import you schematic.
Step 9, Important: It may not be positioned correctly, so you can edit that by pressing "E" for Rotate. "R" for roll. "F" for flip. "G" for mirror. If you mess up just press Ctrl-z and to save is Ctrl-s.
Step 10. Enjoy.
