WOW awesome! almost everything works cool. i just need to be able to rotate view (like when i move the mouse to the right, i rotate right and see right (ingame, of course)) it keeps saying wiimotionplus is not detected. whats that? or i can get a way to move the camera with out using wii motion plus? to rotate the camera, do i need to move my hand or its a button?
yes, that is exactly what is happening to me...
I can walk, jump, interact and every thing, i just cant look around. glove pie says "no wiimotion plus detected" next to the run button.
In the way that you hold the trigger to stop all camera movement so you can swing your arm like a mad man to break blocks while keeping the camera centered.
Yes the wii motion plus is necessary for the controls as i currently have them. And yes there is a problem with the detection of the motion plus. However, i am working on another set of controls that doesn't require motion plus but you would need the sensor bar for the wii. So far they are smoother and do not drop out as often. Problem is the wii sensor bar, you need your wii on and by your computer to get it to work and even then the wiimote will sometimes drop the connection with the computer in favor of the wii. You can find directions on the interwebs though on how to construct your own ( all it is is a couple of IR LEDs)
When i get the bugs worked out of the current control scheme with the sensor bar i will post. Later.
Hmm would be cool to add minecraft to homebrew channel and get it from there :tongue.gif: Wii got internet support so this idea isnt crazy right? If Quake can be played through wii so should minecraft be :biggrin.gif:
Yeah that idea is crazy bucause Minecraft is made with Java
Yes all new Macs come with Bluetooth however you will not be able to use the same software (ie. GlovePIE). It's Windows only. You'll have to find other software. Once you find the proper software just configure it how you want.
Awesome work so far! Took a little bit to get it working but now that it is, it's almost perfect.
Some notes that may help others get this setup (I'm on Windows 7 64):
-MotionPLUS is REQUIRED
-Don't bother connecting the wiimote via bluetooth in win7, it happens in glovePIE. hold 1 and 2 on the wiimote when you first launch GlovePie until you get a message stating the device installed successfully
-You will now have flashing lights on your wiimote
-I now have to load the wiimote connection script TWICE before glovePIE takes control of the wiimote
-When you see the two middle lights on on the wiimote, set it on the table until it the light moves to the player 1 slot
-You are done! Make sure you hold B to move the mouse!
I had some trouble with chat and the dpad because the script uses some strange unnecessary logic for the dpad. I commented out all the dpad stuff in the script and replaced dpad left and right with mouse wheel up and down and it works flawlessly.
Hey jbizzle i tried clicking on the link to the script, but when i clicked download it just kept refreshing, then finally showed me this message saying that im not allowed to see it, or something like that. could you help me?
Great post!
I really wish I had a wii remote now!
How does the remote recognize its position?
Btw, just because you don't like your voice doesn't mean we won't! But if you still don't want to speak, make a muted video and overlay it with text or record the voice of somebody else!
Yes, I was wondering the same, how much for one of these?
if u go on amazon u can find one for $0.95 shipping to FL is about 2.50 so under 10 for me just look up "100m wireless blutooth usb dongle" and you'll find it

Is the wiimotion plus necessary?

we can use traditional controller (no motion plus), except we need to fool the remote into thinking there is a sensor bar near?
or do we need an actual connection to a sensor bar for it to work?

Thanks for the plugin!
Since no one's even using the Wii and my computer already has Bluetooth.
