symbol : constructor BlockRock(int)

note: BusManager is used to store the data that BlockBus's metadata can't. btw will that require a new packet class? if so how is that done?
Well I see you and StrongJoshua talking about this stuff like it's basic (which tbh in most cases it is but that's beside the point) so your higher than most people I know. (exept one guy, he's so high when I ask for coding help he blows me away with C++-converted-to-java code that is NOT user friendly...half the time it's not even help because I get lost :tongue.gif:)
why is there a saving chunks crash whenever i finish placing the ingredients? also is it possible to override terrain.png once with a .png of the same size and then just set the textures as if theres no override to use the overriding .png as the reference for the whole mod? ill look into moareai's digital functions mod for that.
Okay so I am looking for a tutorial on how to make a block load more than one texture, like the top be one part and the other faces of the block load different ones as well, can anyone help me?
I also want to be able to create a new block that I can dispose of items in? anyone know where I can find either of these type of tutorials?
What does ".disableNeighborNotifyOnMetadataChange();" do?
I think* it's used for things that won't effect thier counterparts nearby...like if I moved stone from under dirt nothing would happen, so why check to see if it would? (sand/gravel and water/lava checks themselves so while if you put this in front of say stone it would not effect them, putting it in front of gravel/sand/water/lava WOULD effect them.

For the textures look up BlockGrass.java.
For the new block, you could check BlockStationary.java and look for lava code that burns objects that touch it. (If you didn't want an incinerator you could probably remove the particles)(also don't get confused by this java file; it's both lava AND water! Make sure your in a lava-defined section.)

* = like I said, I think, I am not positive.
Thank you!
Well Do you know of any good sites I can read tutorials for modding with modloader?
I have a small project i want to work on and have small knowledge with java. Is there any java tutorials I should read through?
Edit: Thank you again! I will look through that, and if that doesnt help ill know I need obtain more knowledge of java! You are awesome thanks.
Will this code i am looking at for side textures and making a new block that will dispose of blocks work with modloader?
side question why does everyone ask for someone else to complete their code?
I know I post here a lot but could someone help point me towrds a tutorial that will show me how to create a block like tall grass? but i could put from a block above me?
No problem, I just wish I was actually better at this stuff, i have been reading tutorial after tutorial, just trying to get a grasp of this but i cant find tutorials for things I want to try to learn
This will probably help, I am currently trying to make some sort of fixture that can hang from the ceiling, and I wanna be able to use a custom model for it, so if you or anyone comes across this or makes one, i would be eternally grateful!
can some1 tell me (or make a tut) on how I can make an item shoot thunder from the sky (where I am point) when I right click. Can some1 also tell me (or make a tut) on how I can make a item that can break any block quickly.
Do you have BlockRock.java?
Also, check out my YouTube channel: www.YouTube.com/StrongJoshua
