i want to know, does anyone know a tutorial for this:
i want to make a pet wolf mod. the wolf would be made from the MoCreatures thing.
it would have 40 heath (meat heals it)
does 7 damage.
never despawns once summoned (with a tome?)
attacks anything hostile within 7 blocks , or antyhing that attack player/wolf.
Follow: follows character obeys rules above.
Stay: Stays where it is. attacks anything within 5 blocks or anything that attacks it/you
can have 2 at a time.

I want to make a mod. I really don't have any clue where to start though.
The mod is this: Craftable sticks of dynamite that are activated by redstone or punching. It instantly destroys the single block that it was placed on. It sits on top of the block and works the same way as TNT except, it is not a full-sized block. It is placed using the same block as tracks or redstone are used on (1/8th block).
What class files would I need to edit to do this? The tutorials I've been looking at are outdated, and I'd really like to make this.
So what .class file do I need to modify to make like an Instant break mod for single player? I think it would be a good starting point. Then how would I make mods work for multi player????
Sounds like you're trying to create an instant break mod for multiplayer, which can be considered hacking.
If you run your own server, just get Worldedit or something that has a 'superpickaxe' command: //
