Blue prints.... I'm not sure how I will do that. I gues I'll draw some concept art at school. But it will be difficult seeing as I'm not sure how each empire will build and or opperate. So I gues I'll improvise. Also the trailer for the server, is there a planned release date on that or no? I mean I know some good music by Thomas Burgerson that has a strong Rpg feel. Last but not least I'd like to recommend some plugins that are helpful. But I need to know if you plan to implement spoutcraft into the sever. Becuase it is optional for the Player to have it or not. As in if it's on the server it's not mandatory to logon with spoutcraft.
Ps: I'd like to apply myself for moderator/gamemaster because I believe my app also had a moderator App built into it.
Well as I don't know how many empires we will have, I'll just go with 3 because the blueprint I made was designed for 3. But basically the spawn would be a smaller version of the past world. It would be a small area surrounded by mountains that are to high to climb. Inside the enclosed area would be a smaller old version of the three empires main cities. At each city they will learn the lore Of each empire and how they go about their ways. This will eliminate them having to read long posts on the forums about lore. Plus it will allow them to get a better feel for each empire. There will also be mini environments to represnt each empires biome, not to mention custom trees (which helpful well have to design). At the end of the area we will inform them that times have changed and that war now sweeps the land like a blazing furry. There will also be a portal to the present, which will be another world so that people can't stumble apon the spawn (past world). But a key part is we will need spout. Because there is a plugin for doing voiceovers, which makes the lore alot easier because you get to listen to it instead of reading it. Plus it allows for environmental music of our choice.
Why I would like to apply: This server looks like it will be very well planned out and I love the idea of servers where people choose a side they want to be on and build a kingdom together. I've been playing Minecraft for a little over a year now, so I understand how most things work and I am a quick learner if necessary. I was an admin on JustGamers RPG for around 8 months until I was demoted due to inactivity (I had a very busy summer). I know how most commands work and I'm very good at handling arguments and bans (although these aren't things very necessary for a moderator) in a mature, and unbiased manner. I enjoy helping people and keeping the peace between everyone. I would love to join this server because I want to help start up a new server with a close-knit community.
Location: New Jersey Age: 16 Hours: I generally play a few hours (2-3) on the weekdays. Friday and Saturday I don't generally play. Sundays generally 3+ if I don't have too much homework
Since ive had the free time id like to raise some ideas about the designs of the empires. First being a semi-stema punk city. We could have a huge lava pit in the center of the city. But ill be in a huge hole. But around the whole will be a wood city with lots of scaffolding and metal constructs with wooden features. Ill elaborate more later on.
Second being a group a empire near a sea. Because geographically if its near the sea it will be a big empire because it has wide access to trade, and fish for food supply. This city would be mostly stone walls like Stormwind from "World of Warcraft" but it will be vary cramp, and will have a lot of smoke clouds (cob web clouds). There will also be a place in the city called the coal yard. There will be heavy smoke, pure dirt (not grass), and mine carts full of coal that will be transporting more coal about the yard on speed tracks.
Thirdly the last empire will be a religious dominate city. It will be placed near a mountain and will consist of mainly bright smooth stone slabs, stone brick and things that temples are made of. If we need to get costume blocks for the texture we need then so be it i know of plugins for that. There will be a huge temple somewhere in the city, this will be at the highest point of the city. Bellow it the city will be tiered so the bishops and priest live at the highest as were the peasants live at the lowest. Quality of the houses will follow as rank.
I will enlighten more on these ideas later on. As for now i begin working on ideas for custom trees, shrubs, and different types of foliage.
Although I really have no say in this, heres my two cents.
I like the ideas for the kingdoms but out of curiosity, will these only be single cities? I've always wanted to see something where each kingdom has its own network of towns with their own purposes (e.g. mining, farming, lumber, etc.) From my experience, having single cities that do all of these at once, would your idea just be describing the capital cities of each respective kingdom? (Granted, you couldn't be thinking this at all, but thats just my little idea)
This looks to be one of the better servers. I would love to jump on board and help but I would like to ask a few questions to make sure this server is for me. Please forgive me if this has been asked already.
My biggest concern with these types of servers is the combat. Servers tend to limit the freedom of combat by certain rules. For example, no griefing the cities (By griefing I mean enemies coming in and destroying the opposing faction's buildings/walls). Fighting in only in this little area. Only use these weapons. Etc. Will there be these kind of limitations? Or will the kingdoms ,or I suppose empires, be able to fight other factiond as they see best? Can I use TNT cannons for example? Or can I burn the enemy city to the ground? These are major questions for me. From my point of view these concerns can limit the server ,and if not changed, would make it just another pvp server.

I agree, with this. I know a good plugin called war zones that allow for battlezones. Ill recommend it to this server because its very good for encouraging pvp.

No i was not in the mind set of design towns yet. But i will do so once the spawns idea is settled. And i like your idea by the way. :wink.gif:
It won't be seperate worlds but they will be isolated.
There are 4 kingdoms as far as I know so far, but 3 is an options.
TEKJ9, Accepted, you and Belator are the mods and tort has been fired.
As far as combat, you may destroy other kingdoms, however, kingdoms can purchase perks (very expensive and take a while) that will allow them to protect certain parts of land. Which means of course you can tnt cannon that land, but the stuff inside will be protected besides what damage the cannon does.
Weapons etcs, depends on your kingdom and it's upgrades. You earn the ability to have stronger weapons, and to get better armor, as well as modified stats added to armor, weapons and bows.We need names for the 4 kingdoms, they will each have their own fields of interest.
For example, one of the four could be a more modern advanced kingdom, which will have access to more advanced technology such as automated gates, etc.
K ill design a forth kingdom. And im not sure how you will make the spawn hidden but if you can then more power to you. Im working on designing shrubs and trees for the custom environment but itll take time.
Since I have nothing better to do, I could design the four kingdoms if you would like?

Hours played: At least a few hundred. I have spent a lot of time exploring the world of minecraft. I purchased it since Alpha and haven't looked back. I haven't spent to much time in multiplayer, however I did work on a server called Protogenoi However it lost interest and was replaced by another server...
I have a lot of experience in creating stuff. I have designed quite a few creations ranging from to Piston/Redstone that abused the item duplication glitch. (Until Notch fixed it of course. :/)
I hope this gives an accurate example of my abilities. I am willing to help build and give ideas when I have some time. I will try give as much time as I can to this project. If your interested in my support I'll be glad to help.

Steam punk/Clockwork city
Layout:
gray = edge of the hole, made of smooth stone.
orange = lava
brown = city
Coding for the picture:
- The lava is the source of their steam power. It acts as a generator and fuels empires industrial revolution to power.
- At the head of the goverment is the head clockwork mechanic in all the city. He designed the contraption to harvest power from the lava.
-The cities layout will be mainly scaffolding with some smoke stacks sticking out of the ground. All the houses will have a fireplace with a chimney.
-There will also be a coal yard very close to the edge of the lava pit.
Temple/Religious City
Layout:
- Brick = City Wall
- Water = Sea
- Sand = Beach
- Gravel = Peasent buildings
- Planks = Dock like buildings
- Stone Slabs = elevation to a higher class tier.
- Cobble = Middle class buildings
- Diamond Block = High class buildings
- Wood logs = Temple
Coding for the Picture:
- The city is highly religious so thus the city is broken into elevated tiers.
- There will be many gardens though out the city, as well a intellectual places such as libraries, and schools.
- Benches on main streets, and lots of light posts. (not torches, but glowstone)
- Wood, and stone buildings for a more temple'ish feel.
- Also needs to have a very steppe mountain range behind it.
Ps: the third city accidentail got mixed with the second on so thus the temple, sea city was created. I will create a third later on if no one else does. For now ill be working on one of the other 4 tasks.
Also all these designs are mine to distribute. The only reason the code is their is for the server owner. Any coping will noted and actions will be taken.
Environmental Foliage
In these pictures are quite a few different types of foliage i developed for the custom designs. They include, a watery trunk that's growing lots of moss, a long shrub, a mini swamp tree, a small bush, a tall pine tree, a dead tree, a palm tree with coconuts, and a root that's growing branches. Hope you enjoy them. Schematics will be uploaded when i finish all of them designs. I still have 10 left to build.
Also all these designs are mine to distribute. Any coping will noted and actions will be taken.
TO KEN:I have this whole week off. Any projects that you need me to work on tell me. I will most likely finish the 5 things i have to do for your server tomorrow or the day after. So ill have plenty of free time to help you.
Ken, i have spoken with tyronekit. A very good builder and his explanation for his absence was that there was no ip at the time so he had no way of helping. But now that he sees you have a hoster he will begin to help. From what i understand.
