Hi, I've been using Hamachi to host for awhile now, but I figure it's time to Port Forward and make it easier on everyone. I'd like to ask if somebody will link me to a helpful Port Forwarding guide or help me with my problems. I tried following the one on Portfoward.com for my -D-Link DIR-655- but it wasn't much help. If anyone has some tips for these problems I would appreciate it a lot:
>In the menu thing for my router, I went to "Advanced" and then to "Port-Forwarding as instructed on Portforward.com
>Afterwards I inserted "25565" into the "TCP" AND "UDP" areas.
>I put the "Default Gateway" of this router into the "IP Address" area and tried to start my server using that.
> Here are my server properties as of now:

I get the same Problem when I use Hamachi, Perhaps a server is already running on that Port. <-- wtf? why
">I put the "Default Gateway" of this router into the "IP Address" area and tried to start my server using that."
You need to put your computers LAN IP into the IP field, not your Routers.
server-ip=(The IP I also put in the "IP Address" area)
Leave that empty, only advanced people will know what it means, you do not have to worry on it. Mostly used for seriously multi home, or multi VM running computers.

I really wish I knew, but anyways, watch this topic for awhile, maybe someone who is experienced in port forwarding can help the both of us, hopefully :laugh.gif:
