Siege on Kaz`Gur
Long ago the land was at war. Great battles ravaged the landscape tearing through towns destroying villages, it was not just war but chaos. Brother turned against brother, father against son and families against each other. But how did this fighting start? The king preached a message of equality and freedom for all the neighbouring lands, but Lord Barclay, his treacherous brother, stood against him and betrayed him. This wicked lord believed that all the nearby lands should belong to him and so they fought, brother against brother. Each one took all their soldiers and fought for their cause.
In the middle of the war stood the fortress of Kaz` Gur the birthplace of their religion and the heart of the kingdom. Whichever side ruled the fortress ruled the land. But there was another reason they wanted it. When their religion first started it was all based on the book, it was said to be left on earth by the Old Ones, colossal magical creatures that meddled with the earth and created humans. While all other beings on earth were peaceful and lived side by side with nature, humans were violent, primitive and destructive creatures. In an effort to reduce their violence the Old Ones gave them the reasoning and intelligence. While this made the humans more civilised it also hugely increased their ability to wage war.
The Old Ones were horrified with what they had created, these creatures which they gave intelligence continued ravaging the land. They left the earth in shame. The last few Old Ones were said to have recorded all their secrets in a book. It became the base of the land`s religion and only a chosen few were ever to look inside its pages, they were called the High Order. The book gave you power but like releasing a chained beast its actions when free were unpredictable. Armies could be slaughtered like pigs, but each pig looks the same to the slaughterer. This power spread fear throughout the kingdoms of men. So the book was locked away only to be used in times of great danger.
It was a dark and quiet night with the full moon obscured by storm clouds. The Stronghold of Kaz`Gur was the seat of the High Order, the religious center of the land. The castle seemed like the mouth of a great beast as it was embedded in the side of the mountain and had many passages and hallways that stretched throughout it. It was a mighty fortress that had withstood all sieges that the world had thrown at it. There was only one path that led to the fortress, a small forest filled with snakes, guards and monsters that defied nature. The castle was defended by the great warrior Althalos and it was rumored that somewhere inside these ancient walls the book was hidden.
“Damn it” shouted Lord Barclay. His voice echoing around the empty hall. “How did you forget the location of the book”. “s-sir the guards were doing their r-rounds and they saw the p-paper, I had to throw it away to p-prevent them from seeing it”. “yes but why couldnt you find it again damn it!” shouted Lord Barclay. “This failure has nothing to do in my castle, excecute him” he said as a smirk formed across his lips. “please no Lord” the man sobbed. He knelt down in front of Lord Barclay tears streaming down his face. Two guards stepped up behind the man and grabbed his shoulders, starting to drag him away. He shaked off of them and ran towards Lord Barclay. The Lord slowly raised his hand and pointed it at the man. The man started screaming in pain his body shaking. He dropped. No more would that man live Lord Barclay had killed him as one would kill a fly. He pointed at one of the guards whos eyes were open in shock. “You, find the general and tell him to prepare his army for war, we shall attack Kaz` Gur and find the book”. The man nodded and sprinted away. Lord Barclay sat down, now it was time to wait.
Four catapults rolled through the forest under the cover of the night. Behind them thousands of soldiers marched through the thick vines that were hanging from the trees. Calvary strode behind them, lances in hand. Pushing the catapults and more war machines were trolls, their thick hides were covered in scars, bruises and other marks. Marching behind them were slave drivers, whips in hand, their voices hoarse. This massive army that was under the flag of Lord Barclay was destined for one place. The Stronghold of Kaz`Gur.
When the moon was at its highest four rocks burst out of the forest. By the time the guards saw them it was already too late. The rocks slammed into the walls pulverising the rock. For the people inside the castle it sounded like the very sky was falling down on their heads. The alarm was sounded while soldiers were rallied up ,but time was running out for the dwellers of the fortress, Kaz’ Gur. By the time they had gotten the archers ready it was too late. The damage had been done. There were gaping holes in the Guard Towers and the Stronghold walls of the fortress.
Not a soul could be seen by the enemy on the castles wall. It seemed abandoned. But when they reached the castle gate they saw just how wrong they were. Hundreds of soldiers leapt from the walls, barbaric battle cries coming from their mouths, vicious looking weapons swinging towards the enemy beneath them. Who led these soldiers? none other than the great Althalos. Selected by the High Order to defend the fortress from attack. He was a man you would not want to face in battle.
With each swing of his hammer a skull crushed beneath it. He walked across the battlefield his arms not wavering with dealing death. His face was a picture of serene calm yet he was surrounded by chaos. He knew what he had to do, he would defend this castle until his last breath passed his lips. Above all the chaos he open his mouth and shouted “For Kaz` Gur!”. Around him men`s faces tightened they weren't just fighting for their lives but for the lives of all the women and children inside the stronghold. But for each foe they struck down ten more seemed to take theirs place. The trolls took the place of a hundred men, lips pulled back in grimaces swords and arrows stuck in their hide, yet they still managed to continue slaughtering the army of Kaz`Gur.
Athalos realised that even if all his men kept fighting like this for days it might not be enough. His lips started moving again but now nobody heard what he said but there was a blast of thunder so loud the battle seemed to stop for a second as the sound blasted through their heads. The next second the great warrior was gone.
He reappeared in a hidden room inside the castle. It was barren except for one thing, a small book on a pedestal in the centre. Were any normal person to enter the room they would simply shrug and walk off. But anyone with even a drop of magical energy in them would sense the sheer amount of power emanating from the book. He touched the book and lighting seemed to crackle around it. He turned to the last page and started speaking the three words on it. At the last one he faltered but the thought of all the people inside the stronghold pushed him on. He finished speaking the last word and then everything seemed to go silent.
He took one step forward and collapsed. He struggled to get up but his body seemed to weigh tons. Even keeping his eyes open was a challenge for him. He got one hand on the floor slowly lifting himself and then he screamed. It was the scream of a dead man. He collapsed once more but this time for good, a final breath passing his lips. He lay there on the cold stones for some time and then he stood up not wavering. His eyes were red as blood. “tsk tsk another man sacrifices himself to save his people from war, oh when will they learn” echoed an emotionless voice from his throat. He straightened himself and walked towards the battle.
It was pure chaos outside the castle. Massive trolls swung clubs around smashing skulls crushing bodies. Men charging towards each other swords in hand gutting each other “This place reminds me of home” the deep voice said from his throat. He leaped into the fray, hammer in hand.
Many sleepless nights passed for those women and children still hiding in the caves under the fortress. The anxious silence was only ever interrupted by the sobs of those who were afraid. The thickness of the walls meant they didn't know what was happening above them. Then they heard it, three knocks on the giant wooden gate. They looked up, the noise cutting through the silence like a knife. That was the code they got up and rushed towards the gate.
He banged at the door his vision slowly blurring. “Adela” he mumbled “Adela”. His hands gripped the front of the gate holding him up. But slowly he slid down the door his arms failing him. “No” he thought “Not now, I have to make it”. As the door slowly opened he collapsed on the floor staring forward and saw her rushing towards him. His hand slowly moved forward and it touched hers. His eyes closed as the blackness surrounded him.
As Aneesa tended to her husbands wounds the others made their way up to the surface, what was up there shocked them more that anything else. The great Althalos lay at the entrance of the castle, arrows protruding from his armour and a sword through his heart. His eyes were wide open in death. They reached the gate and looked out. The ancient forest was aflame, rotting corpses littered the area in front of the fortress and nowhere was a sign of life. Death was the only victor in this cruel battle.
They gathered in front of the fortress with all their belongings tears in their eyes, they had searched the mass of corpses for loved ones, to see if they could say their final goodbyes, but even that was taken from them as the bodies were wounded beyond recognition. This sight was so horrifying they just focused on one thing, getting to safety, so they started walking towards the nearest village while tears streaked down their faces. In one of the bags was a small book that a old man had found in the castle. He couldn’t read and that was going to save his life, for if he knew what was in this book and the huge amount of people that were after it, he would go mad with fear and power. But until someone looked at the book, discovered what it was and gave it back to the Holy Order it would keep wreaking havock on the land.
A raven flew across the war torn landscape. Its eyes calmly looking across the battlefield searching for something. It dropped into the stronghold and its claws skittered on the pavings. It walked towards the room and it found nothing. It searched for hours and still found nothing except for one thing: the great Althalos`s body. It took a small ruby from the base of the hammer and the whole weapon seemed to dull, its unnatural beauty was due to this stone.
A dark tower stood tall in an unnatural storm, lightning flashed around it and one small raven the only animal to be seen for miles was heading towards it. In its claws it held a shining ruby. The jewels extraordinary brightness seemed to light up the area around the raven, a bit of light in a sea of darkness. It flew through a small window and dropped the ruby. “Whats this” said Lord Barclay inspecting the ruby “could it be” his face lit up with a unnatural smile faint scars illuminated on his face from the glow of the ruby. “Yes oh yes that is good news indeed” he said again. “Althalos the great is dead the first blow of many to my brother, oh soon I will rule this land very soon indeed”. His hyena like laughter echoed off the walls.

Experience as a moderator/admin on a MC server[/b]: I've OPed for several Minecraft servers back in the creative days, I've been a Helper/Mod on several Alpha/Beta servers aswell.
Why I want to moderate: I can't get myself to play Minecraft unless I have some sort of drive to it, either moderating for a popular server I'm interested in or being a builder; creating epic creations/dungeons for the server. I request that the server be populated because nothing pleases an artist more then having his work seen, and IMO some of the more amazing minecraft creations certainly constitute as a form of art.
Anything else about me: Dephending on the type server I can contribute in many ways, I'm creative and will always have many ideas that I can pitch forward for the servers progress, I am an extremely experienced builder and am quite familiar with redstone circuitry (For nearly all purposes nessacary for a pratical use anyways, don't expect me to build a binary computer for the server :tongue.gif:). I have pretty much all forms of VOIP as I frequently game competetively (MMOs, MOBA's) and am generally down for chilling with anyone whenever.
If you want pictures of stuff I've built, unfortunetly most are on servers that have shut down or have lost stuff since the 1.7-1.8 shift. If you want I could build something on your server and you could check it out based on that.

Was my post deleted , I posted it a litle while back and it seems to have been deleted. Anyways, I was wondering if you still needed any help with terraforming and/or redstone ie IC's. Thanks.
We are pretty much good with terraforming/redstone right now. Currently looking for quest-writers and selective builder positions (but only looking at people who submit worthy samples of their work).

I can pretty much everything you proberly will ask me to do.
I'll PM you more information.
I'll PM you more information.
I'd need to see some sort of sample of work of some kind.
IGN: ClutchProdigy
Area of expertise: Building - (also I have experience in web design so I can build a site if you need)
Sample of work: Sawwy..no pics, but things I've built are... a 3d PacMan, a 1:1 scale model of the white house, as well as ordinary, eye pleasing and functional buildings like banks, houses, etc.
Why should we choose you? I am hard working, creative, and a perfectionist to say the least. I want nothing but the best for your awesome server!
PS I am very experienced with world edit and can whip up some very nice creations with it!
I'd need to see some sort of sample of your work first.
Minecraft Name: DaemonLasher
Age: 18
Country of Residence: Canada
I'll PM you with some info. We'll talk.
