Hi there, Civilization is a "private" SMP server with a couple of plugins (see plugin section below) that is going to be open to players next week (if nothing goes wrong).
We are looking for 10~15 mature players that are willing to be part of our new community, once the amount of players is reached, the server will be closed until someone leaves (which we do not want).
What we offer:
A 24 player, 1GB server, rented from Fragnet, hosted in the UK, a team of experienced administrators, regular events (Battle Royale, Go underground day, Arenas, etc.) and the possibility of being part of an LP series project.
Plugins: Bukkit, Essentials, Permissions, Lockette, WorldEdit, BigBrother, WeatherControl, iConomy, SignShop, iChat, also MCMA and DynMap.
What we are looking for:
Mature players (not in age, but in actitude) sociable and educated (if u tpe liek tis then you are not) that want to build, have a good time, and maybe make a couple of friends.
From the 15 players, five will be chosen for moderator positions, none of them will be forced to be one, but the oportunity will be reserved for those who show the ability of having a good time and commit to the community at the same time.
If you want to be part of our server, please post your IGN along with a brief comment on why do you want to join us, and what do you like to do in Minecraft, below there are some pictures of the server so far, in most of them I am using Doku's RPG pack - Dark. Feel free also to request the server's IP to look around (PM me, guests will not be able to build or interact).

Update: The following plugins will be installed, the flying one that allows you to have planes, and the one that makes trees drop apples (sorry I still don't know the names :tongue.gif:)

Why I want to join: The servers I have recently been playing on have either been offline for a long time, or are staffed by corrupt admins. I really want a place that I can call home, and (especially with the planes plug-in you spoke of) this place might be the one.

Why? Because I have gone through enough **** servers and I am trying to find one with mature people whom wont spend the majority of their time trying to make penis statues
I would like to join because I would like a nice small server with a good community to be active in, I am also mature and respectful and I would like these same qualities in a server. Also I like to build structures pleasing to the eye.

We are currently looking for 1 or 2 players to join out Admin team, somehow my previous thread about admins disappeared, and I can't find it, not even in my profile, so yeah, basically we are looking for mature people around 15+ years old, not much requirements, just understandable English (u cnt tpe liek dis), and commitment to the community (commitment does not mean time availability). People that applied for player slots before this point on the thread, will have priority when choosing.
If you are interested please post your IGN, age and timezone along with a brief comment on what do you expect from us and why should be pick you.

Why: Been searching for a good looking, new server for a while(this one looks good). I'm tired of SP I just want to enjoy the game with other people.

That's it ladies and gentleman, tomorrow at 12:00 AM GTM -3 Civilization will be giving a warm welcome to all new players!
For the moment application is closed as apparently we reached the amount of players we wanted, or at least IP's have been sent to that many people.
Please feel free to apply anyway, because slots will be available as long as the already notified people don't show up, so keep tuned if you are interested!
We do want to apologize if there is a delay between joining and getting builder rights, as we might be busy, although due to the different time zones, we are pretty sure that we will prepared to give you guys support right on time.
Once we reach the required regularity on players that will allow us to close up invitations, updates will be communicated through civilizationserver.blogspot.com to avoid bumping this thread and thus not stealing forum space to other people who might need it.

Why I would like to join: I would like to join to be able to build with other players. I would also like to try the plane mod.
I have been looking for a serious sever that picks its users careful so tht there are no greifers, to many servers dont care.
