I work for X company (x being a variable). DimensionData came to use offering 85-90% off to test their services (heavily), essentially for us to become possible full-time clients (to virtualize all of our solutions). This $5 I implemented (and other fees for higher packages) was able to fill in that 10% gap that I had to pay. This project wasprojected to last 3-4 years in total. Unfortunately I received two separate emails within 24 hours. One being 3x of our VPS users (from MCForums) used their servers to spark a large outgoing DDoS attack. This attack took down most of the VMWare ESXI host which containing top level clients. The sales representative who communicated with our company was furious and suspended my account. I now have to deal with DimensionData to retrive files (and possibly reinstate the service), explaining to my company what exactly happened, and to refund everyone.
With that being said, if you would like a refund (I don't see why you wouldn't) please post below saying you would like one (then once you have posted open a NEW PM and send over your trans ID). I would like this process to be 100% public so we leave (or stay if reinstated) on good terms.
We kindly ask not to open a dispute as that will mess our process up 100% and it will take you several weeks longer if you dispute it with PayPal (for your refund).
AT THIS TIME WE ARE ONLY SERVING: $5 users (it will be 24 hours before we go to the next level)
Regards,
Nate
PS:
Once everything is resolved, you will receive a free 1GB RAM server with a different service for the trouble we have caused you
There is still a 50% chance services will resume within 24 hours, I'm doing this only for legal purposes and to counter any "scam" accusation.
We kindly ask for you to keep this thread 100% about refunds meaning only post once and that being the post requesting a refund.
[Updated] 6/4/13: If you still have yet to receive a refund, please open a dispute and escalate it to a PayPal claim as it will be a few days before the next bank transfer for refunds will be initiated. This will keep the process very organized and get your money back a.s.a.p.
On a second note, this thread will probably be locked. If I receive an email stating service is resumable, I will unlock but until then assume the worse and initiate the refund process.
Hmm, alright. But hosting a 3gb minecraft server long term for a one time payment of $5? I don't really see how he doesn't take a complete loss from that. (Other than the benefits in making people happy.)

Hello,
Sorry I couldn't clarify this earlier as new MinecraftForum accounts have a 10-post limit and needs to wait 24 hours til they can post again. We were originally going to give out complete free 3GB RAM servers without a cost, but it was suggested I should request a small one-time fee to moderate abusers/people who want to create multiple servers (some extent of moderation). Also, this fee allows me to cover all license fees (Windows Server 2012 & Multicraft). We will be creating a BoxBilling order form shortly so users may feel more secure with their purchase, but sending payments via PayPal is 100% secure.
I'm not taking a complete loss as I have certain leeway and free server resources (up to a point) with the aforementioned company above.
If you want I can waive you the fee so you may test and give a nice review (if you feel it is worth one). Up to you!
EDIT: If you would like a 24-hour trial, let us know via private message. It seems a lot of people are skeptical on the one time $5 fee, so we would like to prove our legitimacy to some extent by offering a 24-hour trial (to show we have our own private network, servers, etc).
This host is really good. I am truely thanking them for their great support/what they do. They arent in any way a scam, and I like them. If you need a VPS or MC server go with them.
So a one time fee, just pay once and don't pay ever again?
Do you guys also provide free domains?
Hello,
Yes you never have to pay again, the fee is really meant to stop abusers but $5.00 should suffice.
We do not provide free domains, but we can provide free subdomains
------------------------------------------
PS: We're almost done configuring our private network configuration. We're still contemplating whether we should make dedicated IPs free with all servers or for a $3.00 fee.
Hmm, this does seem quite legitimate. I'm just wondering, because the goal of every business it to make money. It's literally in the definition of business. How do you cover the costs for all this, and why are you using Windows Server 2012?

My goal isn't actually to make money (which voids out the business aspect). I always wanted to start a "hassle-free" free minecraft host. Hassle-free as in requesting a one-time fee to block out abusers and to use Windows Server 2012. Using Windows Server 2012 is easy for me as I can easily assist someone via a GUI vs SSH. It's much easier to pull up Chrome on the server and download a FTB pack, users who "purchase" a VPS will find it easy aswell (VPS's come with Windows Server 2012).
In terms of costs, I have reduced (75%+) with server costs and licensing fees. I have a VMWare ESXI host of 1024GB RAM to use, so I thought I'd put it to good use. If you have anymore questions, I'll be happy to answer as I want to make sure this project is clear (in terms of our purpose). I never intended to be questioned as a scammer.
This sounds really good. I may message you later on, but even if I don't message you back I would like to say your doing an amazing job and keep up the goodwork!

Hello! I just wanted to add a quick review. I purchased a server and I am very happy with it. The connection is great, the control panel is very easy to navigate, and the setup time was very fast. Definitely planning on getting some enjoyment from this server. Thanks!
24 Hour Review - excellent ping from Texas. The MySQL feature in Multicraft works - unlike many other hosts. The deal on this is basically a steal, considering on what you get. Even if it shuts down after a month its still a really good deal. Thanks guys.
This seems amazing, been thinking of setting up a server so if this is as good at it sounds this seems to be the way to go, but I guess I'm slightly dubious because it has to cost someone to maintain the servers.
If I was to get one soon though, in the current location, would it be possible to migrate to a server in the other location when it becomes available with no extra charge? Just because the other location should give less latency for me.
With no extra charge, there is no fee but it would be your responsibility to transfer all the data. I'll give you a heads up, our next two locations will be in the UK & Australia. This will come out in 2 months.
If I was to buy a server for $5, would me and my friend still get good connection here in the UK? Also, I only really play tekkit classic, so when I buy it do I just PM you to make it a 3.1.2 tekkit classic server or do I have to do something else? I would run it myself but I would like to get a 3GB server without having to take my settings off max lol. I don't really like paying monthly fees, so this looks awesome.
Regards,
Rob.
To begin with, we posted 3 demo servers to test if you would get a good connection or not. If you feel you are getting a good connection, you can proceed with the installation. We have custom jar enabled so you may upload Tekkit on your own, but we can also install it for you.
Seems pretty legit. If you get your billbox set up, I'll try to buy one.
Btw, are you able to set up different nodes in the Mid-Eastern part of the US or the Eastern? That where the majority of my playerbase are at. Also, do you guys overload your servers? Do you have RAM reserved so it doesn't over buff?
If you offer these services, I'll probably buy a whole load of RAM

Hello,
We don't overload our servers (free RAM is reserved for wiggle-room + the local MySQL server) and NTT America has datacenters in Virginia an California so I can setup a network in Virginia once you tell me if interested. Not sure when we'll install BoxBolling (after all it's a free billing panel), we'll try soon if that's the only way you will send payment.

Oh no, I have paypal, it's possible. Seems like a legit free loving host, I'll reply in a couple of hours or so with my request
i have got a trail and i love it! i was adicted to linux centos but the windows platform is great for things that are less intensive or needs a screen! i love it and i'll buy one asap!
Thank you for the review, yes we chose the Windows platform as its much easier and we want to advertise Windows Server 2012 as an easy-to-use platform (viewing the server on the screen, just like you would see it on a home PC).
