We would just like to answer this question before everyone else asks. We tend to see this question a lot in this forum.
CraftHost is going to starting giving away free small minecraft servers again. We have purchased new hardware and have enough room for hundreds of free servers. We plan to start with just 100 and then move forward to a high number. Space is limited.
Please keep in mind they are not as powerful as a paid server, but they are free. You will have access to FTP, BukGet, backups etc. We also do not limit slots.
Some may remember we tried this once. It became so popular so fast we had to shut it down. WIth out new hardware and our soft limits, we should be able to do this again successfully. We will throttle the amount of signups to a controllable number.
If you need more ram, we charge just a small $.01 per MB, which is one of the cheapest costs you will see around town. Free servers must have a user logged into them at least once every 48 hours. If nobody logs in, we will remove the server completely. You can avoid this but upgrading to a paid server.
If anyone has any questions feel free to post here, PM me, or put in a support ticket.
We look forward to seeing you!
If you want a discount on the first month, feel free to put in a support ticket and we can work out a discount for any customer new or old putting in a new order.
Hi, I'm interested in your free hosting, but I'm reluctant to share personal information, could you remove the address and city info from the free hosting? I doubt billing is necessary.
can't wait to get home so i can get signed up and order my free server been trying for a week now to create one finally got feedup with it but one question will the server work on the technic launcher thats probably the most important thing even if it doesn't i'm still going to sign up so just let me know
Feel free to let everyone know how your experience goes! I know a few people were a little cranky because we had to restart a node but it was for the best. We also opened about 25 more free servers. Feel free to get yours today at crafthost.us
i've got a question it says mine was canceled even though it hasn't been set up yet i've been installing plugins before i'm starting it but now instead of active it says canceled how come
You have 24 hours to log into your server after you place your order. If you do not log into the server for 24 hours then we have to delete it. We get over 100 orders a day for free servers and we need to filter out unused server so that other people can keep using / ordering them.
i didn't even start the server yet it was canceled i was adding plugins so i could start the server and then you guy(s) deleted it. even though i hadn't started up the server yet and i was still obeying the rule of 48 hours of inactivity (which is what your original post said) and you guy(s) deleted it, and i hadn't been inactive for even 24 hours. so why was it canceled that is what i would like to know
