It is Volt's side (Pheo server), as I'm getting tons of messages from them about it. (Although a bit after the fact.) They're giving affected users an additional week of sub time, so there's that.
I was able to get into the files for a moment and the config file (and presumably all the "default" files) was indeed reset. My additional uploads are still there. (Phew)
So I haven't lost anything except time. I do want to like this host, they've been mostly prompt about sending info and I'll try and forgive them and just move on... Once the node is fixed.
That would explain it since I picked Gemini, though most my users are in europe. so Now I have a question for the rep here!
If a lot of my users complain about things like lag due to distance would it be possible to transfer to the pheo (I'm guessing french) node if I opened a Ticket?

The system reset only the server.properties files for some servers when they failed to start during the server reboot @ ~9:50 EST, all of your binaries, other configurations (ie whitelists) and additional uploads such as worlds should be untouched.
Since 10PM EST we haven't had any issues with the server, we found the underlying issue and we've temporarily disabled some background services that shouldn't affect your service while we repair them.
If you're still having issues you should open a support ticket.
@Playerkillers: the time when you posted the server was operating normally actually, if you open a support ticket instead of posting here we can address any issues that you have much more quickly =) (since we cant really do anything here for you).

Pheo is actually a server in our AZ datacenter, we can transfer you to Columba though (our new French server), just open up a support ticket at any time. We'll have automated transfers once the frontend for the offsite backup feature is completed and we can offer an "auto-restore" feature to automatically transfer your files.
I bought this server yesterday night uploaded my files files and started playing today we had over 50 players on at one point and not one complained about lag the Dashboard is great Im absolutely Ecstatic my only question is, is it possible to get a custom server with lets say 5 or 6 gbs ram cause My server is growing and i want to stay with your service

Glad to hear that! =)
Just open a support ticket with us if you need to upgrade to more than 4GB of memory and we can get it done for you without a problem (we may be able to even give you discounted pricing on additional RAM depending on your order). If you need even more power than that, we can also rent you a dedicated server (you can open a support ticket to arrange this as well).
a) We have additional hired techs now working on the Pheo server now and we're adding on an additional monitoring network to hopefully sort out the I/O issues by tomorrow morning. These techs are now working 24x7 on the server.
:cool.gif: Users on Pheo will now be credited 14 days instead of 7 days for prolonged stability issues on the server after full access is restored.
c) Due to the repairs, you may experience some outages overnight, however all Minecraft servers and control panel accounts should be working normally as of now.
SERVER HAS BEEN CRASHING ALL NIGHT I POSTED A SUPPORT TICKET ON MYSQL 5 HOURS AGO I DOUBT THAT MY NEW TICKET WILL EVEN GET SEEN THIS WEEK server is constantly over 100% cpu i took bukkit off It stoped crashing as much it still crashed alot tho i dont know what to do
@Playerkillers: Sorry to hear that, however I told you that we were doing a server wide backup for Pheo and once we got your files in tact on the backup network we would move your files over. We only just got your server files over considering that there's over 250GB of data to transfer, and we're moving your old files into the new server now.
i have a question why is your support so terrible it says 2 hours 30 minutes and that is already terrible but mine has been atleast 16 hours waiting for a reply and my server wont start and im getting extremely pissed
My server crashes everyday about 3-4 times and everytime it crashes İ am uploading my world folder again because after the crashes my world gets corrupted
And when my server crashes i cant access anything like ftp server and file manager
İf you guys dont solve this problem I will not buy a server again and delete my good comments about your hosting service
And i have been waiting about 3 hours for a reply to my support ticket...
Hope this gets fixed
NO ONE BUY THIS HOST ITS TERRIBLE ITS BEEN 20 HOURS NO RESPONCE (APPARENTLY 2HOUR 30MINUTE WAIT TIME) TO MY TICKETS AND MY SERVER KEEPS CRASHING EVEN THO I REINSTALLED EVERYTHING
ITS AN AWFUL HOST GREAT PRICES BUT PUT 20 MORE DOLLARS IN AND GET A SERVER THAT ISNT TERRIBLE
I understand you are angry and you must be having paid for a server, which crashes, but I currently host a server with Volt and they have been very helpful in helping me. 2 hours 30 minutes is the average reply time they have with you, based on all your tickets. I suggest creating another support ticket and posting the importance as 'High'. Crashes are normally caused by faulty plugins and are hard to determine the problem, so unfortunately it does take time.
I don't work for this company or anything but as well as your say I believe they deserve to hear mine, and that is they offer a professional minecraft server hosting, with a unique and well built control panel and good support. If something goes wrong, just wait it out and they will help you :smile.gif:
Finlay.
i reinstalled my server deleted every thing still crashed i have 3 support tickets open 1 has been open for 20 hours now there awful

You opened three tickets. In one of your tickets, we began to address your issue and you told us not to afterwards. In the other two you posted in all caps and didn't say anything except the fact that your server is crashing. After we looked into your server, we determined it's most likely crashing due to your own setup (and due to excessive CPU usage). If you didn't open a ticket essentially yelling at us and had actually described your issue in full, we would be able to give you a much better response time.
Is anyone else currently experiencing an issue being unable to connect to FTP no matter what? it says login info incorrect, server wont start either. (gemini)
edit;
I also Cannot access configuration.
Is this part of the ongoing issues atm with pheo? According to twitter Gemini is only about a week old so meh... if they're in the same data-center it could be that... :sad.gif:

Until the end of September, we will run another promo in October most likely as well of similar nature.
Open a ticket we have a semi solution to the problem that our clients have found to work fine.
We ran out of space on our US servers a few moments ago, we'll have additional space ready within 24 - 48 hours.
