Hi Guys,

I have a server that's hosted on Multiplay, I am happy with the services but my renwal comming up and I thought nows the chance to test the waters to see whatelse is out there! This is where I thought you guys could help me out?

Currently the server host 10 players and has a free mumble server.

I'm looking for the following:

• 10 player atm with the abillity to upgrade in the future.
• Mod / Map management
• Abillity to allow other admins access to configure it as well.
• Dedicated IP so can link a domain directly to it.
• UK or Europe hosted

I would also like the following but not essential:

• Mysql Database
• FTP access
• abillty to have the google map plugin attached to the server.

What service would be best for me at the cheapest price? I am happy paying either half yearly or yearly.

Would it be a feasable to have a VPS? or would you recommend a purley MC hosted server?

If you are a bit smart and able to learn how to use unix commands I would reccomend a VPS. It is cheaper than Multiplay (Which personally I hate) but dont go for the cheaper ones or you will be disappointed.
You will not have the "auto-update" magic with the plugins you get at Multiplay but you will have your own IP adress, and full control over your server.
If you are not into I would reccomend AllGamer.net (I really like their staff and overall way of doing stuff) or maybe pigsaddle.com

Oh I don't mind getting down and dirty with UNIX!

What specs and services would your recommend for a vps? see I used unix but I've never used a VPS before.
