Please do not hi-jack this thread. It is true, the company was sold and the current issue we face is due to the different parties which are currently involved with Provision Host.
Unfortunately at this time the domain name is still in possession of the previous owner, which we await to update the WHOIS information.
We do not have access to the domain registrar at this time and so, we are unable to fix this issue and hope that Brandon will update it shortly.
We can assure you that once this is fixed precautions will be put in place to prevent it from occurring again.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers. It is a crazy time on our side too as every minute without a functioning site is bad for business as you can imagine.
Stay tuned to our Twitter, Facebook and these forums for updates on progress as we try to recover the domain name as soon as possible.
Official responses such as answering questions posed for the company are restricted to employee's of the business. This isn't to be unfair or cause drama but rather as a company, we need to be sure that whatever we say on the forums, we uphold and strive for. With that being said, we cannot allow third-parties to answer questions directed at us.
For instance, if someone had asked "do you guys have 7 day refunds" and someone not affiliated with the company answered saying YES, and it can be extended to 30 day refunds if needed! then we would be in trouble as that person had said something on our behalf and now we would need to uphold it.
This is why we restrict answers to questions to one of our authorized employee's, identified by their unique Provisionhost footer.
I think you may have mistaken the whole post as a hijacking post. I was just referring to the previous replies in that first sentence. The entire post was not related to the hijacking remark in the initial sentence.
I'm sorry to hear that dagurucraft. I can understand and relate to your frustration and I can assure you we are working hard to resolve the issues. It isn't pleasant for us either.

We have been in touch with the domain registrar and the only thing holding us back is that the WHOIS verification process can only be performed during regular operating hours. Therefore we have to wait until tomorrow before we are able to complete the update and get the site online. A very frustrating but needed requirement. We will continue to keep you updated and let you know once everything is sorted.

I haven't mistaken anything. You misquoted.
Read it again. Person A told Person B that they will be missed, and you quoted Person B's response to the comment directed AT THEM, and told them not to hijack thread. If anything you should have quoted Person A.
Secondly, unfortunately for you, you don't have any ownership or authority on the thread… so anybody can reply, and the mods will deem who can and can't say what. If you want to control the conversation, I suggest you setup a website for that. Keep it up and running too, that'd be nice.
While I'm here… you might want to email your customers and let them know what the hell is going on.
Picking up from PitchBright here, an email to all your clients - you have all our email addresses - explaining what is going on would have been better public relations. Email does not cost anything.
You've been a good hosting service and I hope that continues, but you will lose clients unnecessarily over this as people try to reach client support, fail, and draw the wrong conclusions.
And no, I'm not going to chase you all over and follow your Twitter feed. It is yours to keep in touch with us.

Unfortunately as the domain was down, everything related to the domain was down too. We were unable to email anybody during the time as company mail was down. I can assure you that everyone will be informed.
Our Facebook page is just one click away and Twitter is not hard to follow. I will though follow up with our other administrators and see what we can do to make the communication between you and us better for the future ahead.
This must of been a mistake temporarily but I can assure you that everything is back to normal and we currently just await the DNS changes to propagate throughout the world.
----------------------
Official update from our Facebook page:
"Our website as well as support, orders and email are coming back online. Due to DNS issues, this might take some time to reflect throughout the world as different DNS servers propagate the changes."
We will be sending out emails shortly regarding the situation. If you had an invoice due and received a late fee, please contact us so we can remove the fee for you. We have cancelled the late fee being added to invoices temporarily but some invoices might have already had them added.

You mean to say you don't have access to your company's customer mailing list, internally, and that you don't have an external email address (ie. provisionhost-at-gmail-dot-com) that you can utilize to send company notice emails from???
Secondly, I shouldn't have to sign up with Facebook, or Twitter, just so I can find out why I can't access my services with you guys. If you know what's wrong with your system, before your customers do, the responsible thing to do is to reach out to your customers and explain the situation before they even realize there's a problem… thereby saving them hours of confusion, panic, and frustration.

I can only agree. I don't use Twitter or Facebook. This is supposed to be a business transaction. I would not do business on Twitter or Facebook even if I did use them.

I'm sorry guys but I've provided the explanations from our side as well as informing that we will look into bettering our services in the future and putting measures in place to prevent this from occurring again. There is not much more that can be said about that topic. We are not going to create a back and forth argument on the forums as we've already addressed the matter.
In Summary:
- We mentioned Twitter and Facebook. It is your choice to use them or not.
- We mentioned that we will be looking into preventing what happened.
- We acknowledged that we will be finding better ways to keep our customers informed.
Please do not continue the debate as your concerns have been answered and we will be moving on from this point forward.
At this point I do want to say that we have been very satisfied with ProvisionHost, which we have used for some time. The customer service has always been great, and we all know how important that is.
We have had I think five different hosts, two of whom suddenly vanished without a trace, and the others made massive messes of other kinds. It's a rough world out there in minecrafthost-land, and there are a lot of flakes. ProvisionHost has always been a diamond among cobblestones. Anyone reading this is welcome to PM me if they want to hear more.
I'm glad you guys got the website running again, and I am very reassured.

That post has since been removed an official apology posted on our Twitter page as one of our employee's sent out that Tweet when it should've first been reviewed by senior management. We are looking into preventing it from occurring again.
We do apologize to anyone who was offended by the message and we hope that you can accept our condolences on the matter.
