Any advice on server donating laws in canada Before i purchase a server i have some questions. i know you have to pay income tax after you earn a set amount, does anyone know what that amount is? do i have to be of a certain age to receive donations on paypal? (im 17) is there any legal advice i can get on creating the tos and answers to any of my questions? should i go to/call bank for advice? go to/call a lawyer for advice?
At your age, don't worry about it. Unless you are pulling in upwards of a $1,000 a month, you can just report that as miscellaneous income - or not at all. Laws may vary for Canada but i've never heard of Canadian admins reporting server donations on their taxes.
As long as you have a paypal account - you can take donations.
I'd recommend consulting a certified public accountant if you are still worried.
I absolutely love this host. I LOVE how you can interact on their website for your server. You can do many things for the server than i knew of! And when i didn't know how to do something, i emailed them and they told me exactly how to do it. I love TreePuncher at Kerplunc Gaming.

My brother ran a server with this hosting , from him I know that It had quite amount of ram , and that it is most affordable server hosting . Great job . Everyone should try this host out
Definitely not instant as their site stated. The server is up... yeah... but I can't login to the manage section with the credentials that were provided. Why does it take different login credentials to access the billing section than the game management system? Guess I'll wait till they respond to my support request although I'm not very hopeful since when I gave the trial a shot and had an issue and entered a support ticket then, I never received a reply.
Sigh... not the best start imo, got an inpatient kid bothering me asking me why I can't manage his server.

I have been hosting a small (6-8 person) Minecraft server running FTB Ultimate off of my own PC at home. Playing was a blast, but constant lag became an issue, until we decided to check for dedicated hosting solutions.
After contacting Treepuncher/Kerplunc’s support staff and getting some basic questions answered, and checking prices around, I ordered one of their 10-slot servers running FTB for $20/Mo USD. I had my server info within 60 seconds of ordering and had my world up and running within 30 minutes.
Their website works very well, with quick access to an in-browser file manager, on-the-fly Op.txt/Server.properties/Ban.txt access and easy to use controls, not to mention full and complete FTP access. One thing that I might say is that while you can view the console on the website, you cannot send commands through it yet, which they are working on.
Their knowledge base has more than enough articles & videos to get you started, and their prices cannot be beat. Thank you Treepuncher!
It made me see god!!!! Kerplunc gaming is the best gaming hosting service I have used, and it’s rather affordable, you can even get a free minecraft server, given, it is very basic, but free! Their costumer service is great! Whenever there is a technical issue, their staff is happy to help. I do recommend kerplunc for your game hosting needs.

This reminds me of one of my favorite quotes, "It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do."
I'd say that you understand paying a few cents more is going to get you something that works great! Thanks for the feedback.
Bought a server a few weeks ago, haven't been able to connect once yet. Have tried with multiple computers and ISPs. I asked for a refund and you guys told me to wait until it was fixed, I assume just so you could get past the refund time-frame. Won't be recommending your service to anyone, or ever using your service again.
