so when logging in this morning, it said my password was wrong, so I changed it and now when I log in, it just lets me play the demo, I have looked at the mojanh help page for this but it didn't help, I have bought minecraft, this just happened today.
Try logging in with the opposite credentials of the account; i.e. try your username if you've been using your email, or your email if you've been using your username.
What is the username on the account?

Because you wonder how I could talk about money, girls, clothes God and history all in the same sentence You know what all those things have in common Only half the truth, if you tell it
Well, I can say that 'paul265' is a premium (paid for) account, so that isn't the problem. You should probably contact Mojang customer support through email, as they will know the best way to help you.

I'm having the same problem. It started for me a couple weeks ago. I was logged on playing all day with no problem. Then, out of the blue, the next time I logged on that day it asked me for the answer to my security question. I gave it the correct answer, but after it logged me all the way on, only the demo would work.
So, I logged onto my account from a different computer I was using the previous day and it worked perfectly fine. As usual, I was automatically logged on after firing up the launcher. I wanted to try an experiment to see if I can "manually" log off and back on. So I logged off. Oops! BIG MISTAKE!
After I logged off, I could not log back on. Now both my computers will only play the demo! Grrrrrrr! That was two weeks ago. When I logged onto my mojang web page account, it seems to say that I never bought the game -- i.e. minecraft is not listed as a game I purchased.
I sent Mojang two emails a week apart from each other, which included my purchase order and registration numbers (and whatever else to prove I paid for the thing) from when I bought it last summer. Guess what? I'm still waiting for a response. According to the "thank you for your request" page (the one you get after you submit your help request), it says they are backlogged and working on complaints/problems from Dec 27 2013.
This seems hopeless. You would think that a busted account would be addressed in a more timely manner. One thing is certain, I'm not going to pay, again, for something I already paid for.
The exact same thing happened to me. As I was reading your problem, I was screeching to myself "This is what I needed to find!" since I was searching for someone with my problem and the solution. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if anyone knows how to take care of this, tell me...I miss my old worlds. :\
Paul, when it said you password was wrong, did you retype it in? Because when I tried to log in, it said something was wrong, so I tried over and over again (I swear I typed it with nothing wrong). That's when I tried changing my password and got tied up in the mess you got in.
It was acting as if something had deleted my account! If you know anything about that, please tell me. (It's too late, though.):(
I have the same problems as all you three guys and i changed my password twice to get it to work and all i can do is play the freaking demo yet about and hour ago i was building a freaking house
My son is having the same issue...its only giving him the demo to play and not the game. I purchased it back in May. I even signed up with the homeschool edition in the fall and they needed a login name to make sure it got put on the right account and if i didn't have the game i would need to purchase...Well, i purchased so why is he only allowed to play demo??

According to "https://help.mojang.com/customer/portal/articles/1218766-can-only-play-minecraft-demo", the MY GAMES section should list minecraft. It does not. Nothing is listed in my account.
