Today's spotlight focuses on a Minecraft-based version of Bejeweled, made by Sethbling! Played entirely in your inventory, the only thing this particular version of the game is missing is a scoreboard. It is still every bit as addicting as the original, and a good bit of fun! You can get download links . Enjoy!
A mod edits the raw code of the game. Plugins are a feature of Bukkit and other server mods that are essentially easily-installer server-side-only mods, meaning they work based on what the client (your game) can already do, even though the server is modded. Most servers are Bukkit. There is no singleplayer Bukkit version, though, so if you want singleplayer Bukkit plugins, you'll need to run a local server with only you whitelisted.
Now if we could just make this into a mobile app, I could have my addiction with me all the time. And as long as I don't have to pay for extra levels, then I'll keep playing until I'm shaking in a padded room, saying "Just one more time...I can definitely beat this round if I just try one more time..."
But in all seriousness, this is absolutely amazing! Just another example of how Minecraft can become anything we wish it to be with a bit of code =)
