Sounds like a very awesome update is soon. Now, I didn't play back in Beta, but wasn't 1.8Beta the Adventure Update? If it was, 1.8 Official should be the Adventure Update II.
I'm getting the same thing he is. The villagers harvest the crops, then just leave the seeds and stuff lying on the ground. Also they don't replant... Idiotic little squidwards...

These are exciting updates! From other comments, I do hope by the time the final release comes in they clear up the problem of villagers not replacing harvested crops.
I was going to use a example but to many of them say it. We get it there's lag one or two people saying it is enough. Please comment on things you agree on or think should be talked about. Have a nice day.
Edit: it fixes the issues with the item frames only showing part of blocks BUT it also pops all the items frames and what they were holding off your walls too haha. Just be prepared for this
i wonder if there is a way to have a comparator only activate if a certain item is in the Item fame
not unless they make it that way, wait. unless you have command blocks testing for block data... or something.. im pretty sure command blocks can testfor stuff like that... maybe

It's probably because they're spawned pre-snapshot. They need to have seeds to plant, and to pick up seeds they need their canPickupLoot to be true. Sounds like for those spawned before the snapshot, it's false.
Just get new farmers.

Odd. In Snapshot B I don't have any farmers or fletchers in the closest village anymore. Only Librarians and Leather armor people now. There were like 3 farmers and 3 fletchers before the update. I wonder if they took them out to work on the AI more or something? Can anyone confirm something like this happening to them?

I heard on the Minecraft Wiki that if there are too many villagers of the same profession, the villagers can change their outfits and become librarians, leatherworkers, etc.
Fix bugs? Work on the modding API? Remove the terrible internal server for SSP?

Back on topic, did anyone lose all their cooked fish and salmon? Mine disappeared completely from my chests. Not a big deal, just kinda annoying.
I am getting unusual lag, however may be because of a bug: all pictures and item frames have fallen off the wall and dumped their items out.... may take a while for me to fix this issue. I'd post it on the bug tracker, but I haven't migrated my account over yet. If anyone else has encountered this, post it there.

The farmer villagers (Brown robe is farmer, not default) will harvest & plant crops now! =D
Just get new farmers.
