I thought the command was /fill, not /fillreplace.
Can someone explain the difference? Is this basically replacing certain blocks in a selection?
It is a new syntax for /fill, after selecting your block type you can choose keep, destroy, replace, hollow, or inner. If you choose replace it has a new option to only replace certain blocks. See http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/14w04a for more details.
I can't see textures of floating items or item frames unless I'm facing north. I'd report it but apparently you need to be a member to report bugs. can anybody else report?

Mojang, fix this lag bug...

Yup, instead of just walking around aimlessly and trampling your crops, they will
now intelligently target, home in on and uproot your crops. Yay!
It's a snapshot. Snapshots are almost ALWAYS laggier than the release version. Complain about the lag if it's lagging still when 1.8 comes out.
