From what iv'e seen in the posts, this update is incredibly glitched and buggy. Therefore I am probably correct when I say this: Congratulations Mojang! You have surpassed EA in terms of bugs and glitches!
I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
Is anybody else getting annoying blur on the blocks when you are a certain distance away from them, and on some of the blocks in your inventory?
Any fix to this? It is killing my eyes and making MC unplayable for me atm. I'm getting the blur with and without the resource pack I typically use.
please tell me im not the only one getting this problem. It either goes like this or completely black. Any fix? I can't even play this version of the game. Help would be lovely
The first one looks like one of the "Seecret" shaders, you can try save-and-reload to get out of it.
The second one is a chunk rendering error (probably combined with one of the shaders) , which should go away at least when you step onto the chunk. You can also hit F3, then pause the game, and wait for it to run out of chunks to update. And yeah, the chunk rendering errors are especially bad in 1.7.

Anyone else having this problem? When you put a block of coal into furnace to cook 8 anything, it uses the whole block?
A single piece of coal cooks 8 items. A block of coal cooks 80 items. Like any other fuel, it will continue burning even if the furnace can't smelt because the input is empty or the output is full. That means that like lava, you need to empty the output and refill the input midway, or use hoppers to do so (hoppers will forfeit the experience).

Thought it was only 72 items(9 coal per block x 8 items smelted per coal)

You get a bonus for using a block instead of separate lumps.

I believe that's the mipmapping, which you can turn off in the video settings. I've always used MCPatcher or Optifine, which has had that feature built-in, so I didn't even notice the change until it was pointed out.
Has anyone had an issues with lag? I've been playing and I have not messed with the settings and I had a little bit of lag once but the game is running really nice and smoothly.

No mipmapping:
Playing 1.7.x makes no difference in how it looks.
