Really? I get way better performance -- it's now playable without optifine for me. (Or did you have optifine installed previously, and so are going from optifine to no-optifine? That would explain the fps drop.)
It's weird, this seems to happen every version. Some people have way less lag, some have way more, and for some it does nothing. Mojang says that they tried to reduce lag, but that may be client-server (networking) lag that they are talking about.
I cant get optifine to work for 1.7, and its driving me CRAZY!!! im lagging so bad!
My Accounts Not Working With This Update It Says Welcome Player When Its Suppose To Say Welcome Hunter1298
Login servers could have been down when you tried to login. Etc Etc Etc. You aren't really giving anyone any information to go off here, not to mention posting in an update thread, instead of starting a support thread...where you'll get more support.
Anyone got any ideas on how us that get 0 (yes, zero, I can literally not play it is too slow ) fps when we open a world with 1.7.2 can fix the problem? I would really like to play 1.7.2, but I crash straight away after opening a world
More RAM is a start. And would probably fix a majority of those with 'lag' issues in this thread.
Also, don't rush to get all your mods back on. The update just came out, give it a few days to settle before trying to load all your old mods. Make sure Windows isn't doing updates. Make sure programs are turned off. Etc.
I updated last night to 1.7.2, started an Amplified world, and had absolutely zero issues. No lag, no nothing. And I'm usually using Optifine because of that same lag you're talking about.
I really dont like this update. I mean, the stuff they added is great, but they destroyed my preformance. I went from 60 FPS to 0 FPS in a SUPERFLAT world. Minecraft 1.7 is unplayable for me.
Everyone has their opinions, I like yours and I respect that a lot. The village problem, I don't know if that's the issue I'm thinking of, the one that includes the buildings in an amplified world being too elevated, or if it's something else. The sea monsters, the only thing I can think of about that, is if there were to be a miniboss or something of that sort in the game. That is, unless Mojang has a different use for it, since I'm not creative when it comes to making things up. lol I can say that Mojang will probably surprise us in the 1.8 update. To be honest, I'm counting down the days until it's released already. XD
I was thinking more like giant squid since the model and behavior already exist.
It would be nice if squid could be harvested for food.
Also, regarding the villagers: fixing their AI so they don't run around in a panic or try to cram themselves into one house.
For kicks create a superflat world in creative, spawn about 100 villagers, make a door about 20 blocks from them, then place two blocks on top (one over the door and then one joining that block so that you have two over the door - thus making a simple house). Then switch to night. The sudden surge of running panic stricken villagers trying to crowd into that one door is hilarious and illustrates the poor AI.
Also it would seem that the algorithm should only place villages in relatively flat places - the prior post I made showing part of the village in the amplified world high atop the mountain should never happen (plus it creates hideous chunks of dirt under the elevated farms). Although in a way it did remind me of the "Warning Beacons of Gondor"
How do you fix the bugs of that ----
Sorry, but we couldn't connect to our server
Pleas make sure that you're online and that you minecraft is not block.

But my minecraft is not block in firewall

Can somebody help me pls
One of the biome changes - large bodies of water and oceans are now completely covered by gravel.
Does anyone know if the mob spawning has been changed?
I always put torches in a 6x6 pattern (meaning 5 blocks between torches) and now I still get zombies spawning in villages in places where it would be impossible for them to enter (because of fences, doors, etc).
Now I have places on my maps where the lighting is supposed to prevent mob spawning but I still get zombies coming at all hours of the day (such as a underground cavern, or, large clearing at night). I had a village completely get ransacked despite adequate lighting and defenses.
Hmm, yes, this does sound like a technical problem. I don't know if other people have had similar problems, but if they had, then they should be working on the issue right now. Which is good, because if the next release is 1.8, then that's more of a reason for you to look forward to 1.8.

Ever wanted to play Minecraft on your own difficulty? I did too, and now I'm getting better by practicing at my own pace!

No, I went from vanilla 1.6 to vanilla 1.7. A drop of 60 fps.

I do mod installation tutorials and redstone tutorials!
My latest videos show you how to install Tale of Kingdoms for 1.6.4 and how to install IC2.
After breathing in, try breathing out; however, it is important to remember to breathe in again once the initial two step process has been completed.
I think you're being generous. He should probably just stop breathing entirely. :V
So much crying and obvious 11 year olds who only managed to crack their game in the first place through pure luck can't derp their way to a new version in this thread. It's a 25 dollar game that's constantly being updated and has more free mods than you really need. None of you are entitled to anything.
Oh my goodness yes! Been waiting for some of these specific changes for freaking forever!!!
yeeeeessss! More plants. more plants. more plants. more plants. And colored glass!!!

It's a 25 dollar game for a game that gets constantly nerfed for eg: wheat and trees and mojang doesn't listen to other people's suggestions and most people even now have cracked minecraft or atleast some of the people who has minecraft also all in all they actually don't add much in the game they mainly add decoration blocks and that's pretty much about it. For a game like this it's very pricy and even 7 Days to Die is worth less than this and it probably always will.
Afraid I cannot play on multiplayer servers very well. Only a couple will actually work, I hope Mojang fixes this soon.....
That has nothing to do with Mojang, and everything to do with Bukkit. The servers have to be on the same version as you, or you won't be able to connect.
1. Fix the villagers' AI FCOL.
2. Sea monsters would be cool.
Rare sea monsters (Its a real pain when you are just starting and the water is not safe)
fish mob
Mobs should be able to pick up dropped items (Sheep pick up and eat wheat, wild wolfs should take drooped meat)
Minecraft logic: Add 100 awesome things, Add 1000 bugs automatically. Now as much as I exaggerated that, 1.7(official release) is filled with bugs. The textures for certain items don't load properly, sound is messed up, turning music to 0 still plays music, minecarts make you get out 4 blocks away from the cart, inventory graphical glitches, strange night vision behavior, I can keep going but I think I've made my point. Not gonna say the update is bad, I personally love it. But they(Mojang) should really fix most of the major bugs during snapshot stage and then release the official version.
1.7: THE UPDATE THAT BUGGED THE WORLD
Seriously, it was a bit rushed.
Also I want a 1.7.3 patch update, like, rytnao, so I can say I played from (Beta) 1.7.3 to 1.7.3.
I have 0 intention of playing this version until some kind of 1.7.3 comes out, but that's been said to death already, so I won't say more on that front.
Instead, I'll say that more than one world has been changed in this update. Sure, there's the world gen changes, but that only affects survival people. The early snapshot changes are what totally revolutionized how maps will be made for mapmakers, and that's worth it in itself.
Ran it on amplified last night with zero issue. Perhaps it's your computer?

Wow.. I haven't experienced a drop in fps since updating. Maybe post a topic in support and someone might be able to help:

That's dumb, what about clay?
Anyway, it is unreal how many bugs are in the update. I wish they'd waited a couple of weeks to sort em out
I think that was replaced by the Mesa biomes - if you can find them.
Of course if you want to make brick you still need clay which is found in the "rivers" and small lakes.
