Ah, yes. The process of choosing a name. Mine was one more of symbolism. My sign, Aries, is linked to the element of Fire, and as it happens, in Greek mythology, is also the god of war (even if it is more commonly spelled "Ares."). Fire, as a name, was too simple, but Flame stuck well as an abbreviation for the name, and most people call me that in chat, and such. So, came the part where it needed more to it. I extended it with "dude" to sort of make it roll off the tongue, and to make it seem like I was more the sort of person you'd want to be a friend of. The "166" part is where I draw a blank. It was one of those random numbers I just stuck on there for the username effect. Although, occasionally, it comes back as a good thing, and sometimes a bad thing. When it comes to Minecraft, however, it is so far, neither, since there is not yet an Item 166.
And it all just fell into place. Keep in mind that I've been playing games quite a bit longer than I've had an online identity. It is just that in previous online games or sites, my name was quite a bit different, so much that you'd never have known it was me, and back then I didn't have the mental capacity to take on such a task as creating an username that will identify me well (although, to be fair, I was about 10, or so, years old when I got into gaming.). Other times, people have stolen my name (Why would anyone do that?), and as a result, "dude" can be replaced with "bomb" resulting in Flamebomb166. Sometimes, even, sites may disallow numbers in names, and the "166" just kind of falls off.
That's everything good I can think of about what my name is, and how it came to be, but like everything, it has it's downsides. Some people assume that the name Flame makes me quarrelsome, derived from the internet term "flame war." However, I am probably the least likely person you will see starting or participating in a "flame war." I find such a combat of words useless, as whenever you insult the other person as much as you can with only the words you can spell, it merely bounces off of them like nothing at all, but somehow causes them to do the same to you. Since you can't punch them in the face, why bother? So, I just ignore anyone who wants to fight me in such a way. If you want to fight, save it for the online arenas. That's what I say.
I hope you've enjoyed hearing how my great name was put together. It truly is a masterpiece of my own mind.
I got my IGN from the first time i played or even heard of minecraft. I was going to my friends house for the first time and his little cousins were at his house. You know how you playfully mess around with kids just for the sake of messing around with them? Well he did that with them when he introduced me as "John"(not even close to my real name XD) but he said it with a bad britich accent so it came out "Jowhn."
So from then on my username was "Mr_Jowhn2"
Short version: My name starts with "a" and when I made the account 52 was my fav #
My cousins had a free Minecraft launcher (illegal I know) and we did a lot of stuff on a server. Most of the time we tried to play survival but we ended up essentially playing creative with the amount of cheating we did. Now, this was back when EVERY command you used had to have your name on it. So, when we logged in, (because it was a free launcher and you could make up a username) we made our usernames as short as possible. Eventually we just used the first letter of our names. Mine was a. When I left the cousin's house I bought a real account and since the name "a" was taken and my favorite number was 52, I called myself a52. Later I realized that also worked as a pun on the U.S. B52 bombers. And I've just used that username for everything since. Also, if you capitalize the "a", you're spelling it wrong. It's a52, not A52.

My name started back in 10th grade of high school. For French class we picked out nicknames, and I love the name Claire <3 [One of my favorite classical songs happens to be "Clair de la Lune"]
From there I used Claire_Burmot for my GaiaOnline account, and in all my role-playing games with my friends. When I started playing FFXI in August of 2007, is when it became Clairefox. "Claire" was taken already on the Kujata server [by a mule account no less x_x], so I thought "Well my favorite animal is a fox", so I tried it and it stuck <3 FFXI also only allowed the very first character to be capitalized so that's why it's all one word. I had Clairefox on FFXI for almost 6 years before the developers started putting the MMO down the drain and we left.
Now I use it everywhere and am deeply saddened in places that I cannot. My family calls me by my regular name, but all my friends irl always call me Claire It bugs me when people leave off the "e" also :/ "Clair" just looks cut short -_-;
My name mostly comes from Pokemon. I was doing a nuzlocke challenge, and I wanted to name a Pokemon Ace in honor of my first starter's nickname. This was the last addition to my team though, and it was replacing an Electrode named Ginger, so I combined the names into Ace Ginger. The name didn't really become my username until Minecraft though, because my normal username for everything was Poqt33 (which was my longtime name in the MMORPG Runescape). I wanted a new name because I quit playing Runescape, so I used Ace Ginger because it was original and had a good ring to it. Ever since it's been a part of me.

The Origins As a child, I would play things like webkinz and toontown and club penguin. I always had the same name and became pretty popular with other kids playing the same games. The name I had was simple. My street number (113) and the first the letters of my name (Jac). Kinda lame, but know im stuck with it as my email... As I grew older and started playing more mature games... I had a sting of random names. (Burger, BigBilly, Hulkinator, etc) Then around age 10, I discovered my love for tacos!
So How Did My Name Come to Be? Well, around this time my friend started joking around with me about, stuff, which is not a reference to SkyDoesMinecraft. (He annoys me, I am not at all a fan) It references something else completely, and if you know what it is, good for you! This was a majestical thing called Budder. I combined that with my favorite food, and that is how BudderTaco came to be.
Where do I Use it? I have variations that I use for different things. Forums, such as this are, always BudderTaco. When I get social media, I plan on using Mr. BudderTaco. ( I already do for youtube.) And for any games it is BudderTaco69.
When I had to make a minecraft account I was thinking about creeper related stuff. Then I thought about cool names of kings and generals, like Alexander the great. Creep the great sounded cool, but creep the creepy sounded even better.
The other name I use often is Aiel. It comes from a fantasy series called Wheel of Time (I highly recommend it to everybody!). It sounds cool and it is a easy, short name.

My first name was HIPERMEGAMUNDOCOMPU, The name of Homer Simpson's internet company in Latin Spanish translation (actually it is compuhipermegared, but it was too late). That is my YT channel name. Then I subscribed to a guy called "Stargate Geek". I love'd it, since Im a very geeky dude, and I love Stargate franchise. I registered in Taringa! (An argentinan social network, very popular in latinamerica) with that name, adding an MX at the end representing that i'm mexican, cause MX is our intenret domain. With the time, the master came alone, just to sound "pro" or "pwning", and thats me, from Leage of Legends to Team Fortress 2, MasterGeek.MX, with period or not (depends of the character allow on the site/game).
My name, Timber910, originally wasn't such. Before, like you Sacheverellelelellele, I had a different.
It originally started on a forum website called DS Ultimate. It was a fun website I liked hanging around on. I though got banned quite a few times, some of them for no apparent reason. Anywho, one of the names I went by was my favorite Nintendo character and his weapon, my name being Linksaber.
I used that name for quite a bit, however I also had a DS, DS Lite, and a DSi, which I all used different names, some being ones like Tsutaja, the japanese name for the grass type starter in the game Pokemon Black and White, Snivy, and Sora, the main character in the Kingdom Hearts series.
However, my dark era of gaming had come...the most darkest, most horrible, most gut-wrenching game I ever played...Club Penguin. Yes, I was young at the time, maybe around 11 to 12 if I remember correctly. Well, I tried putting in the name Linksaber, and that was taken by somebody. Well, that got me thinking a little bit. Finally, I came up with an idea. Now, my first name, when shortened, is Tim, so, being absolutely creative, I thought of Timber. Now, I needed to have some numbers, cause everybody needs some numbers. So, I picked the numbers 444, leading my name to be Timber444.
Now we jump ahead, to the year 2010, when the game Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit had come out. I had just gotten the game, and I love the fact that you could put your own decals on the cars, which I think should've been added to the new Need For Speed: Rivals. Anywho, back on topic, I grown bored of the name Timber444. I still liked Timber, so I kept that and took off 444. I thought to myself 'This is a racing game, and most racing cars have numbers on the sides, so I should pick my favorite number.' So I did, I plastered 9 on the side of my car. However, I figured 9 was too short, so I decided to go with 10 right after it, thus the name Timber910 was born.
At first, I didn't really think that name would be used for me so much, but it turns out, it did. I started using the name for other forum websites, games, and I even have it as my Xbox Live account name and the name of my Youtube Channel.
It's an odd evolution really. Linksaber to Tsutaja to Sora to Timber444 to Timber910. And thus, that is the story of how Timber910 came to be.
I was registering for a Club Penguin account, asked for my penguin's name, I typed Emily, the random suggestions thing said it was taken and "How about you try Emily97574?", so now I use a girl name and the 97574. The "Mary" part was off the top of my head.
Inspired by my 7-year-older brother long ago, I mashed up the letters of my full name and got Hucota. My brother's lucky number was 7, and I liked it too, so I tacked it on the end. I've had the name for somewhere near a decade now.
My IGN in Minecraft is Blockhead9000(as you can see on the left), but for every other game it is Trench9. This name came from an early Playstation 1 game(which was the first console I ever owned) but I can't remember much about it since I was only about 4 years old at the time. So it then became my gamertag on Xbox Live and I decided to use it for every other game since... of course with the exception of Minecraft. Blockhead9000 was created just because I wanted to start playing Minecraft and I hadn't thought about using Trench9.
My first user name was Matt16221 when I was 6 on the pbskids website. Matt and then my house number at the time was 1622 and added a 1? And then I saw the video "we don't curse" by the computernerd01 some of the lines were "like a wolf! Like a big bad wolf" and "you can't stand in the presence of a beast!" And ever since then I was obsessed with wolves. Then when I was going to make a yt account obviously "Wolf" was taken so I loved computers (still do) I made it Wolfishhacker (wolfish hacker) and then for other websites only one h. That was stupid. Everyone pronounces my name "Wolf is hacker" but I already had kinda staked that as.my own so I stayed with it :-\

My name originated almost 7 years ago. My brothers and I made a paper game and we all made character names. My 2 year old brother just blurted out "LORDPRIFORD". And soo that name stuck forever.

LIFE IS MORE THAN SURVIVAL! There is also Creative, Hardcore, and Adventure.
My name comes from my brother and I's real life names.
My name is China His name is Denver. Originally we shared the account, but he moved with our grandma, and now dont get to see eachother much. Now its just me! but its sentimental because i miss my brother!
The people behind the names.
My username is donteatmypants. The backstory behind this name ties into my love of making up totally random things to say, so in 6th grade, I was obsessed with telling people to "go eat someone else's pants", after a while some of the other kids thought they were smart and started to ask me MY question, and my reply to them is what gave me my username.
My name, Craft-Spider, came from when I first made an online account. I was trying to think of something unique, and thought of a spider I had made as a craft. so, I chose craftspider. the name has stuck for the rest of my internet time so far.

bspkrs is short for briefcase speakers. A buddy of mine in college read an article in a DIY magazine about taking a briefcase and mounting speakers in it. He showed me his implementation and immediately I knew I had to build my own. I had some old car speakers sitting in my parents' garage, so I grabbed them the next time I went home. One trip to GoodWill later I had a sweet faux leather briefcase complete with dual combination latches. After a visit to the local computer repair shop I had some old desktop speakers to pillage electronics from. That is how these babies came into existence:
My IGN is NoxInEralon, and there is indeed a bit of a story there. As you can see my forum name is Noxomra, so the 'Nox' part is short for that since most people who know me around the web by Noxomra call me shortened versions like Nox or Noxy. The 'InEralon' bit comes from two places; first, Eralon is the name of a fictional world I created and where two books that I have written and hope to get published are set. Secondly, I liked the way the name flowed the same way as 'Alice in Wonderland', and since I had just watched the Tim Burton remake when I signed up for my account I thought the name would be perfect.
After all, this way most people still call me Nox and then they ask what Eralon is so it's a way to promote my books at the same time. Of course that was not my intention, but I realized that it could be a thing when people did start to ask so I've just taken it from there ^^
