I was really stuck at first to find a good username without all those annoying numbers. Tbytes sort of came to me and it stuck. I have used it everywhere else since. My only regret is that people call me 't' sometimes, but sometimes people hit t twice accidentally and say t, causing confusions.
Well. In the beginning I went by a few names. Playing StarCraft, and other games, Infirst went by TheDarkest, being inspired by the (in my eyes) cool dark templars of Protoss in StarCraft(1)
At the same time I had various names i used for emails too.
Later on, around the time i played Diablo 2 and other games, I changed to using TheAvenger. Not sure exactly why. I recall one time someone asked me if it was because of the comic "The Avengers", but at the time I didn't even know those cartoon heroes.
Some time later, probably 10+ years ago, I had a notion. I ought to find a unique and fitting name to use online. I didn't feel I had anything to go on related to myself, other than my name, (You know how those teen years are) so I started with that.
My name isn't.that special. Martin is a common name around the world. But it does not take mich digging to find out its origins is the roman name "Mars", name of the god of war.
Cool I thought. But Mars is a pretty plain name, albeit an interesting meaning.
So I took some time to ponder more, and as i encountered the Harry Potter forums on Warner Brothers, and were baffeled, yet fascinated by the roleplays being played on the forums there, I got an idea. I had always been interested in J.R.R.Tolkiens world, books, characters, and last but not least; languages. Knowing he had made many languages for the sentient species of hos world, with vocabulary and grammar, I decided in a nerdy zest, that THIS would be where I found my internet name.
After looking over the languages, I fell for the Elven ones. Sindarin were the biggest one amongst the scores of fans. And were even a language one could learn to speak, based on the amounts of material Tolkien left. Yet being an oddball, I chose Quenya. A less developed Elven language, which was thus less complete, but in Tolkiens lore, more aincent.
And so began the transformation of my name.
Going through meaning, i translated god of war, war god, and other synonyms into Quenya, but found none that I felt fit, or had the right feeling. As I became frustrated over not fimding any likable names, it crossed my mind, that Mars were als the name of a planet. A planet we sometimes refer to as "the Red Planet". Quenya had no words for planet though, but using "Red World" i forged together a name with the right feel, and at least remotely related to a god of war;
Carnilio
Since then I have used this name almost exclusively. Anywhere and anyplace online. I have met people around the world that I've befriended outside games and forums, who first, or even still, know me as "Carnilio".
So it is for sure. My IGN is a part of me. And it has shaped me, just as I shaped it.
Kitox comes from the username of the host of a Minecraft server I play on, Xkitox. I felt like it was pronounced "ex key-tox", so I stuck with Kitox- pronounced "key-tox." I think it was supposed to be "ex key-to ex," though.
I got my username in a pretty interesting way. Initially I decided I wanted something to do with "Technomancy" (Controlling science with magic) a cool idea in my book, but I need a real name, not something everyone would have taken, like "The Technomancer". I thought on it for weeks, sketching robots and stuff, before someone referred to me as the "mechas guy" the name, twisted into "Mechus" Stuck. My only regret is that people always either call me "Techno" or "Meh-Chus."
Despite having a skin that resembles Roger Langridge'sFred the Clown, my user name is a clear indication that I am a fan of The Goon Show. Not the most thrilling of reasons, but tidy, don't you think - have a gorilla.
My username's backstory is kinda fanboyish. Ok, here goes.
At the time, when I was creating my Minecraft account, I was a HUGE fanboy of Super Mario. One of my favourite games back then was Super Mario 64. But I always loved luigi, so thus came Super Luigi 64. I tried at first superluigi64, but it was taken, so I changed the second i in Luigi to a 1. And thus came SuperLuig164.
I first made my username when i was around 8 or 9. I was making an account for a game, and i couldnt decide what name to use. I wanted to use "Me", but that was (obviosly) taken, and it was too short. I didnt want to have a name with random numbers at the end, so I (luckily) didnt do "Me4783246329782" or something. I decided eventually to make my name "12Me21". Originally, I pronounced it "one two me two one" but that sounded kind of lame, and everyone else seemed to be saying it "twelve me twenty-one", so i changed it to that. After that, I used the name for almost EVERYTHING, and it was never taken. Then when I made my minecraft account, I discovered that someone had already taken 12Me21, so I made my name "12_Me_21" (I was 12 when I got minecraft, but that was just a coincidence). I still use 12Me21 whenever i can though. My name is pretty good, but there are some disadvantages:
1: people used to think it was "12Mc21"
2: people always forget to capitalize the M and they say it "12me21" (I hate that)
3: I don't have very many good nicknames, people always call me "12" (which is also a commonly used number) or "12_Me". If i had to choose a nickname, I would pick "Me", but that can get confusing"
4: "12_Me_21" takes a long time to type because there are symbols and capital letters.
5: A few people think that the 12 or the 21 have something to do with my age but they don't.
My name is different from most people's names because I have mostly numbers, and not just random numbers at the end, or no numbers.
My name originates from when I bought Minecraft just before the beta update. I had just found out that 4 is considered by some to be a number synonymous with death, much like 666 is to Satan, and thought that was interesting. I also thought that for some reason, a skeleton in a black robe with a scythe was bad ass. so, I called myself Death4444, and I cant wait for the name change, because my Youtube name is different and much better. heheh...
SIMPLE: I LOVE MOOSHROOMS .Well when i first got minecraft pc, i seen a spawn egg called ''Mooshroom'' so i wanted to see what a mooshroom was so i spawned it. I thought it was so adorable so i breed mooshrooms next to a village.SIMPLE: I LOVE MOOSHROOMS .Well when i first got minecraft pc, i seen a spawn egg called ''Mooshroom'' so i wanted to see what a mooshroom was so i spawned it. I'm back from my hibernation. Most likely gone so don't pm me.
I picked my name as DarkX132 because of my playing style. I prefer to play stealthy and use sharp melee weapons in games. "X" looks like a mark made by a sharp weapon maybe a sword and "Dark" represents my playing way of playing...stealth in the shadows. I picked "132" because there were many other players with the same name so i had to do something to make sure i got an account with the name i picked. I just added "132" .
My original tag that i used online was grey-whitewolf, or whitewolf, or some thing along those lines, whatever wasn't taken already. I love wolves, and since my chinese zodiac was a dog, i thought it was fitting. eventually i got frustrated with having to remember a dozen different tags, since i couldn't use the same one for each site, or game, or anything. wolves apparently are VERY popular in general. that led me to find a new tag.
That one ended up being the one I am using today: Sharpened Pata. I love weapons, namely cold, or melee weapons. swords, knives, daggers, all entrance me. A Pata is an Indian gauntlet sword. I was amazed by its beauty, and simple, unique, and deadly design. Apparently they were meant to be used in a very aggressive manner, the weilder using a second weapon, anything from a second Pata, to an axe, or even a javelin.
there i go off again about ancient weapons only i gave a damn about. sigh. but thats how this name came to be. I found a beautiful weapon, and adopted its name.
I first used this name in the strategy game "Age of Empires", quite a few years ago. A name was required to connect to multiplayer and for the campaign. Since I was eager to jump into the game, I quickly typed in the address of my old apartment home (from before my family moved from downtown to the suburbs).
And that name stuck with me through many games, until now.
Well I just got my account like 3 months ago so about all the possible names were taken. So then I tried to find a name that would maybe show a little bit of my personality and also a funny name. Mustachio_girl was the best option because I went to rallies or whatever dressed as a guy. Well it was fun. (As you can tell I haven't matured yet.) Ya then mustachio_girl just came to me cause Im a master of disguise and no costume is completed without a mustache and that's my boring story
I got my Minecraft name from thinking and writing code back and forth with my friend to see what i liked. using our code i saw that he wrote "desktop" but written in our code in came up as "flurbert" i didnt use that name at the time but i kept it in mind. After a few days of thinking i started a new strategy, WHATEVER sounded best coming out of AntVenom in a hunger games.... say he was chasing me and yelling "Die, FLURBERT DIE!" and i decided to keep flurbert as my name and now it reminds me of my past and makes me happier.
Meh. Lots of people here seem to have long stories for their usernames. Me, ehh... name is George (geo), street number (1088). However, MCPE name is RS_Amazing_1001. RS=Redstone, Amazing=sounded cool, and 1001=my favorite binary number=9 in decimal. Kinda ironic, though, since PE doesn't even have redstone.
