I am somewhat new to minecraft learning about it 1.4.7. I did some looking around and looked at the tutorials by paulsoaresjr. and coester. My first night was boring since I only played on peaceful back then. My first memories of minecraft is spawning in a jungle on my first world and I tried to make an island. I didn't know anything of redstone back then but now I know about scoreboards and circuitry.
Same with citricsquid, i started playing before the sun ever existed in minecraft, i still have the launcher for 0.31, i could upload some footage from 0.31 to you guys
I started playing Minecraft on my birthday in 2009, June 1st. About a month after it's release. I came into this new world with bewilderment and amazement. I created a new world and stepped into a new universe, one I hadn't expected to evolve to the point that it has. I wandered aimlessly threw a flat alpha forest until I came across a quaint forest meadow. There I began punching tree's because there seemed nothing else to do to aid me in proceeding. After about 5 trees I decided to start self-teaching myself how to craft objects. I managed a crafting table and some sticks, and boy was I proud of myself. After placing my bench in the center of the meadow I noticed a slight dimness coming from *old west and thought, hmm maybe it would be a good idea to build a shed for my stuff. So I used what little remaining planks I had to create a small 4x5 blocky home. After that I gave the game a break and went on to youtube where I met 2 of the funniest and most informative people of my minecraftian life, if I could say anything about them it would be they are the mythbusters of minecraft, Simon and Louis of the Yogscast. They taught me new things like how to craft a sword and a pick. I began digging under the surface of the overworld, and I haven't stopped to this day.
How the heck did you do all of that before trees, crafting and survival mode were all added to the game?
Ahhh, my first day in minecraft... how horrible it was. I spawned in a jungle and spent most of the day trying to find a clearing, and trying to evade the lag. Finaly I found a big pit with a cow. I named it Daisy. So I started to make a pitiful dirt shack. As I built it night fell. I sat in the house having a starring contest with all the evil mobs. When they burned I was very supprised. But then I noticed three green things. And I thought I knew them from somewhere. I walk out to say hi, but then the blow up and I get lost in the jungle, trying to find my house. It took forever to find it. And that in a nutshell is my first day, not that any of you care.

Don't like what my post says? Well I don't care!
That above this is pretty creeply close to how I feel sometimes...
I don't remember my first world, but I remember a moment clearly. It was about beta 1.2 and I made my house inside a cave ( Like always ) had a nice appearance with glass and a door in front. But for some reason I made a bucket and tryed to make my house, erm Mob proof? So I placed water everywhere until it was all still water. Then I looked at it from my home, hated it, and then deleted my world immediately and made a new world. From then to now I've never sticked with a world more then a few days!
Ahh, My FIRST night! Being holed up in a cave at 3fps on a mac not knowing how to place ANYTHING, but somehow being able to craft a door. I remember the paranoia of hearing zombies, and my sheep (still have him today, his name is George) just sitting there as I ran for my life. This was 1.2.5, btw. When that first skellie came by I was like "YOLO" and ran out the door, George in tow thanks to some wheat, and sprinted away to a mountain biomes (big hills for them noobs out there). Then there was that first night of multiplayer. I remember spamming in the chat "How do I craft a Sword? How do I mine Iron? How do I craft a slab? Who's that?" and then being banned for spamming. But we can't be perfect, Right?
I started playing the last day of beta. I managed to get a wall of sand around me, and trembled in fear all night. I tried digging a tunnel under the wall, only to have the whole thing collapse and a horde of mobs run in at me. The next day I discovered this magical coal thing, and with a bit of experimentation, torches. As I soon discovered, zombies were definitely not scared of the light, and I died again. After finally managing to kill a spider and get some string (with a fair amount of confusion how dead spiders made string), I was amazed to discover that Minecraft did indeed have ranged weaponry. I spent the next few MC nights sitting on top of my wall laughing maniacally as I shot zombies, then screaming like crazy when shooting an enderman it it chasing me. When I first discovered gold I was like "Cool! Gold! I bet this would make some nice weapons!" I promptly crafted three gold swords, went after an enderman, and died after all three broke trying to kill him. Then there was flint. Glorious, magical flint. I was living in a forest, and playing around with my brand new flint and steel, until I lit my house on fire and the whole forest burned down. Needless to say, I died again. In my nice clear area that had until recently been a forest, I saw a dog. "What a cute dog! I think I'll pet it!" I run up, 'pet' it, and scream as its eyes turn red and it kills me. Then I lose my world when my hard drive dies XD
Oh boy... The memories come flooding back. I started back in Beta 1.3. Pffft, I was really wimpy back then, since I didn't even play in true Survival; just on Peaceful. Also, I was what you could call "Mine-Tarded" back then, since I took forever to learn ANYTHING. It took me a few days to know that pickaxes are the only way to get cobblestone, a month to find my first diamond, and a few more months to get on my first server (which I still play on today :D). The first time I even "encountered" a mob was when I made a glass box to hide in above my house. After watching the monsters wonder around and ignoring me for awhile, I went right back into Peaceful to keep on building. *sigh* Times have changed since then...
I remember the first time I played, when night came I dug into the side of a mountain and hid from the zombies until it was day time again. I didn't have a clue what I was doing but it was incredibly fun. Eventually I made the basic tools and started creating my first house. It was basically a cat and mouse game between me and the zombies at night. I would try and get as many resources as I could and then book it back to my house before dark. I probably played like that for eight hours straight
I started playing in Alpha, the game has indeed changed a lot. I miss the old versions but I like the direction the game has taken. It hasn't gotten too far away from it's roots.
hey your first night was alot like mine i did not know what to do and i saw creatures attacking me so i just dug down into a hill that had water fall right next to it and it took me like 3 days to finally leave becuase i did not know if the zombies were still out. but in like five days that little hole actually became my giant house and when i first got torches (like 6 days after i started) i was placing them all over my house and i had built a bridge across the water, but when i was placing the torches i had my first encounter with a creeper i did not look behind me and i just heard this sizzling and i thought (why is there sizzling) i died from the explosion but i eventually found my house, sadly like 5 weeks later i was no longer a noob (atleast i thought...) so i was trying to put a already created map but i accidentally deleted my world.... but the good news is i maid a new world and now i have tons of diamods and all that good stuff and a great house :).
My first time playing Mine Craft was a real experience because I did not know what anything was and when I killed my first mob (Spider) I tried crafting a random item with a spider eye and string and then I had to go on youtube to learn to craft and was still hard and then I got into this strange red dust called Redstone Dust and made me very interested so my first thing I made with redstone was a lamp which I was crazy with son I put them everywhere and then I learned more and I started playing Mine Craft since in Alpha and am now an awesome redstone guy!

My first night was maybe two years ago. I had got it for my birthday from my older brother, and I couldn't wait to try it out. When I first started playing, I started pressing buttons randomly and I discovered the left-click technology while pointing at a dandelion. "Cool!" I thought, when the flower disappeared and reappeared in my hand. I then started punching other stuff, but I didn't realize you had to hold left-click down longer for other stuff at the time. So, having seen a couple how to get through the first night videos, I quickly located some coal and made a humble cave abode. The next day, I went exploring, and never found my first cave again.
I was living in a forest, and playing around with my brand new flint and steel, until I lit my house on fire and the whole forest burned down. Needless to say, I died again.
Lol, fire has almost been as destructive as creepers. in my main world, I loved nether rack. I really wanted to put some nether rack on my nice wooden house and set it alight, thinking how cool the top of my house would look. So as soon as I got to the nether, I mined a whole lot of nether rack and put it on top of the crenelations of my house. I set one block on fire, and before ya knew it, I was hurrying to my cellar to get all of my most precious things as my house burned down around me. So then I did some reading, and discovered that bricks keep fire from spreading. Silly me! So I got some more nether rack and put it in the middle of my living room. Then I put some bricks around it, and set the nether rack on fire. Then the wooden block directly above the flame stared to smoke. Once again, I found myself running to the cellar to get my most valuable belongings.
In my creative world, I once set my glass tower's wool carpeting on fire by accident. Thinking quickly, I produced a water bucket and cooly put out the flames. But the water wouldn't stop. So, thinking quickly once more, I produced a lava bucket thinking I would turn all the liquid to obsidian and mine it all away. I was new to the game then, and I did not know that an empty bucket could save my tower. I had fun blowing up the remnants of the tower afterward though.
Well my first experience in Minecraft (I don't recall what version but I started playing in hardcore for some reason) consisted of me wandering around in a forest and came across a huge flat wall and was amazed by its scale. I then saw a hole in the ground and peeked inside and saw...WATER! yes that really surprised me a pix elated game with water physics ,lol, so I decided to jump in and get pushed by the water then...I heard it...a zombie moan I panicked not knowing what to do I actually remember being genuinely scared and then...I saw it...A FLAMING ZOMBIE it scared the heebejeebees out of me then killed me and I quite and didn't play again till I watched and read enough to not be scared and know whats coming. So that was my first experience in Minecraft.
I started at the begining of 2012. It was pocket edition so crafting wasnt a challenge. but i still had no idea what to do. I only bought minecraft because i heard my friends talk about it alot. I had NO IDEA what kind of bame it was. I was expecting a fps or somthing lol. but it got me hooked. And now here i am playing the pc version 9 hours a day
After months of rolling my eyes as my younger brother played Minecraft Alpha, with the sounds blaring across the house (which earned him a few scoldings from my parents, telling him to turn it down) I got curious and decided to try it out at my cottage.
My brother first taught me about moving around. My mind slowly began to grasp the idea that WASD is important, and soon I could walk forward then walk back towards the tree without glancing at the keyboard. Now my fingers automatically assume their positions over the WASD keys as soon as I open my laptop.
After learning about moving around, I slowly explored his world. A simple wood hut in the middle of a tiny valley would become our shared home. I used my brother's account for a month or two, and since our Minecraft was not connected to the internet we took turns adding to that world. He explained to me that night was dangerous because of monsters, and that torches should be placed around the home. Much to his annoyance I routinely changed the settings to PEACEFUL.
He moved over to make his own wooden tower full of chests for storage. I built on his original house, adding more floors and a glass top. The fancy glass roof deck came with a tree, and a diving board. Below the diving board we built a tiny pool, beside our food trap. Since pigs, chickens, and cows were quite dull back then all we needed to do was dig into the side of the valley and build a dirt wall around with with doors. The mobs would fall in, and we would have dinner.
I admit that I was rather timid when it came to exploring. The oceans (ha! Nothing compared to the current oceans) that were merely five blocks deep were too much for me, as were the dark caves that spawned awful creations such as certain green abominations that destroyed my creations. So, without needing to discuss it elaborately, I assumed the job of collector, farmer, and builder, while my brother hoarded goodies such as iron, gold, and a few diamonds.
There was a glitch back then, a duping one. Yes, we used it. But there was a tiny chance that the world would be accidentally deleted if you used the duping glitch. One sad day we opened up Minecraft, excited at what could be. Then we noticed that World 3 had been cleared. I blamed my brother at first, but we were both very sad that it had disappeared. By then it was 1.2 Beta, I believe. I started earlier, though I have tried pinpointing it I do not no when I started playing MC for the first time.
I bought this account a couple of months after learning how to play.

I'm a deep, intelligent, creative soul with a sharp tongue (that I keep to myself) and strong opinions of right and wrong. (My beliefs are similar to those of Lisbeth Salander) I am a supporter of common sense, and believe that there's an exception to every rule (even that one just mentioned).
My friend convinced me to get the game, so he came to my house and we got it. When I first got into the world I was like "HOLY CRAP THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN ROBLOX!" I started in a plains biome and my friend told me to get some wood. I then wondered around into the desert and then night fell. I encountered a creeper. I escaped though. I was attacked by skeletons and spiders. I decided to dig a hole and stay there. When day came back I kept on wondering and discovered a snowy forest. Thats were I found my first wolf. I decided to stay away from it. I hated the snow so much, I decided to dig up all the snow so it can be a actual forest. But I realized the forest was way too big. So I didn't. I found a plains biome right next to a jungle. I chased the ocelots around alot and decided to build my house in the plains. It started as a cave and I turned it into a pretty bad wood house with a gravel and cobblestone wall. I thought the gravel was cobblestone. I was always afraid to go into the ocean because I thought the squids can kill you. I then dug I hole straight down in my house, I found a abandoned mine shaft thinking is was "Mojang's secret area" and I saw a spider spawner and I though spiders spawn there and come out the cave when its night. And when I went to school I was bragging of how I found where the spiders spawn
My first night was one of the rather... odd ones i was so pumped about getting minecraft, watching lots of mods video i acuhlly
though u could craft mod items without the mod. MAJOR NOOB so then i was like what the poop then a month later i relized i had to download the mod.... (i also though u had to download servers....) so then while i was playing for my first night i wasnt as much as a noob to building but i used 4 different colors of planks... yea, i know after a couple months i was as pro as a regular player
I think most of my first day was spent in the exact same way that Sach (And just about every player) did. Except I did not discover crafting at all, and the events of nighttime were totally different.
I raced across a desert, with two hearts, with the biggest conga line of spiders, zombies, and skeletons ever seen in Minecraft hot on my heels. Then I looked at an Enderman. His mouth opened, and I had a heart attack and died, and they all lived happily ever after, the end.
