I'm not a multiplayer type guy but there a ton of folks in the community that are. The only concern that I would have is those who wish to grief others might use the list of servers to troll.
Although I personally might not hop on recommended servers (just because I've had it with wackos and such) I think adding servers to the Community Creations would be a wonderful addition for the whole community!
Hey Sach. I would love to see some multiplayer servers out there. As of now I only really play on my private server and now (since you told us about it) Hypixel's server. I also subscribed to Hypixel. So thank you!
I would like this; I would also like some way of inviting players to come on and help build things. i.e. A Sacheverell server main-page post declaring that if you connect to ip.sacheverells you can help build an epic dragon/castle/somethingElse. (tnt would be cleared from everyone's inventory, which I know how to set up on vanilla)
I suggest you don't spotlight private servers because that might bring hate to those servers. If you spotlight big servers any person will be able to enjoy what you have introduced. Private servers are fun and all but there's a reason to why they're private.
I don't really like modded servers because of things like 'punch someone and it doing half their health when in iron armor' happening (and various glitches and oddities).
Pertaining to creative servers, they are usually a gallery, which is okay I guess, and you have pure survival servers which become grief fests very quickly and the whole world becomes a disgusting mess.
If you were to post servers, you should probably post the gallery servers, the rest are kinda crap, unless they had a pvp where you don't lose all your stuff every time you die. :/
I would like to see servers spotlighted, but it needs to be done in a certain way. Mainly, which servers get spotlighted needs to be decided in an impartial way. Making sure the spotlighted server offers something unique that can't be found many other places will help alot. It would lose all credibility if all we saw was same rehashed stuff(Mindcrack Style!, Factions!, OMG!!!WE HAZ SPLEEF!!!), or just a bunch of servers run by people looking to get rich or famous. Much like you do a great job of spotlighting awesome videos, mods, and maps, the same type of discretion would serve well here.
P.S. Cheers to you for taking what can be a very delicate and volatile subject in the community, server advertising, and finding an excellent way of finding out what the majority community wants to do, and how to do it.
I think servers should defiantly get limelight but don't always showcase the more popular, famous ones!
Give love to the smaller communities too! Even the whitelist servers.
The only fear I have for them is the bad sport players going onto said spotlighted servers and basically being jerks.
I would love to see this added. However, I don't want it to be one of those where the Big servers are shown. They should be small, but well designed servers that NEED advertisement.
Sorry about the poll vanishing, seems it's been randomly deciding to off itself. It should be back up now!
I've seen a lot of comments about smaller servers getting advertised, and thought I'd put forth a question about that. A frontpage spotlight will bring, on average, thousands of players attempting to connect to any given server. For smaller networks, this basically amounts to getting DDoSed with connection attempts. How would that be mitigated?
Not saying smaller servers can't get love, I'm just personally curious how that would be handled. Spotlights never bring just a handful of people.
No. This would just lead to large 1000 slot hub servers bribing mcf to post ads on arguably the single most visited minecraft related page on the web(mcf homepage).

I'm having the same issue (if it is an issue).
If I could see it, I would vote yes.
Happy Sachurday!
I vote, why not?

That is all.
Baseball, then Minecraft.

Curse PremiumPretty sure it already ended.

This soon (it's almost 1 pm where I am), and with no notification in the OP? If that's the case, then we have a problem.
