April Fools it fake duhh

Am i the only one that feels disappointed about this? just look at the world generation and terrain features! those alone would make Minceraft 100,000x better.

What if it was an april fools joke because Mojang knew we'd know it was an april fools joke, so when they actually released it, we'd be fooled.

Mojang, if this is actually fake, I hate you're guts. I mean, I was kind of shocked on how many changes were being made, and I thought that the animal breeding was weird, but other than that.... Tinted glass? Redstone bugs? I was like, "NO WAY THIS IS SWEET!!!" Btw horses and aliens need to be added. By the way, you are really really really mean for doing this to us, Mojang!!!

2.0 should just be an optimization... going from 1.2.5 to 1.3.1 dropped my potential fps from 500 - 70ish

MAN THIS IS AWESOME THAT MINECRAFT 2 IS COMING OUT. But really, the mods section is one of the most viewed and discussed part of the fourms. No offence to anyone that opposes this idea, but whoever think that deleting the mods section is a idiot.

I wouldn't mind if the horses and animal genders were real :\

World generation & terrain

• Added many new mysterious adventuring locations.
• Added 6 new biomes.
• Reimplemented the Farlands.
• Going near the farlands will forcefully enable 3d anaglyph.
• Known bug: Teleporting towards the farlands may send you half way in the opposite direction.
• Added dozens of new village building templates.
• Flattened all terrain out slightly, with the exception of the hills biome to make it seem bigger by contrast.
• Added floating sky islands

Look at these features, they are exactly what Minecraft needs! More adventure!!!! Mojang, PLEASE at least add these things, if this is just a joke, I'm sorry you're just VERY VERY VERY mean

I have many things to prove it is fake.

Added six (6) new decoration blocks:

• Mud.
• Hay bales.
• Lapis Lazuli.
• Slime blocks.

It said 6 and only listed 4, and the lapis Lazuli block already exists.

Renamed Droppers to floppers, by popular community demand.

• Droppers were deemed too powerful and go against our original vision of the game.
• Floppers now turn everything that passes through them into raw fish (see Fishing section).

They would not change Droppers the floppers and they would not make every item put into it a fish.

Added new compressed storage blocks for commonly mined ores:

• Coal Block.
• Lapis Lazuli Block.

• Redstone Block Block.

Again, Lapis block already exists, and same with the Redstone block.

• Rare chance for extra items to drop when fishing, such as armor and maps.
• Removed fishing.

Extra items dropping would make no sense and if they are changing so much to fishing, then why would they remove it.

Reimplemented the Farlands.

• Going near the farlands will forcefully enable 3d anaglyph.
• Known bug: Teleporting towards the farlands may send you half way in the opposite direction.

I don't remember any Farlands, and they would not forcefully put on 3D anaglyph

• Removed all BUD behaviour, and added safeguards so that it may never come back.
• Made redstone bugs spawn actual Redstone Bugs to assist with debugging.
• Added new Quantum Entangled redstone, obtained by mixing 1 redstone, 1 diamond and 3 lapis.
• One entangled redstone dust will connect to another pair elsewhere.
• No current way of specifying the connection, may in fact connect to another player’s world.
• Added new BUD blocks.

They said they removed all DUB behavior, yet they are adding BUD blocks.

• Difficulty setting is now per-world and may never be changed once set.

Thats a little harsh.

The mods section is no where near the least used forum, and they would have to keep the Contact Server Administration.

Also, torches going out after a while is really harsh. Yes, it is more realistic, but look at the millions of people that use torches to light their homes.


A new forum section, "Minecraft 2.0" will be added, and will be the only unlocked section of the forum. Every other section not deleted will be locked and archived.


If they are only posting Minecraft 2.0 new (which I don't believe), why would they be making a new Minecraft 2.0 section, when it will need more than one section, and why bother keeping all the other topics if they are locked?

You see, it is fake. There are probably a ton more clues that its fake in the changlog. (Why does no one read the changlog these days, anyway) And if this big news is real, why post it on a day that everyone would think it is fake?
