I'm just stating my opinion here, so please don't hate to much.
Minecraft has had some awesome updates, like the halloween update. But some of the updates after that has been meaningless. Horses are cool, but are they neccesary? I mean they add things like horses, and new blocks, which is cool, but after playing survival for a couple of days with the new update, it gets really boring. They make updates fast, but the updates lack content, making the game boring after about two days. I think they should take about three to four months, and make a whole new dimension, or maybe two new bosses. A new mob, or new ores. Things like that would make the game diffrent from how it has been for a year.
Plus if you have never heard of it, a game called terraria, is having an update bigger than the actual game itself. It currently has 1358 items being added, nine new bosses, and about three new biomes. Somthing like that in minecraft would be amazing. Not asking for all that stuff in minecraft, but content being added like that would be cool.
Also, please don't hate on terraria because it is 2d. Being 2d doesn't mean it is automatically worse than minecraft.

Not so excited for the sunflower... unless you make the flowers bigger and more complex-looking. Sunflowers just... As for the falling particles, I'm gonna like it!
I wish they'd stop developing Minecraft so Mods can finally flourish. Mojang are adding all sorts of crap that seem to have nothing to do with Mining or Crafting.

also the reson there adding stuff like this is to make the game almost like real life all they need is more ores
I think the sunflower is useless, as f3 shows your direction?
You see, they want to add more complicated stuff in MInecraft. At least there is a flower that tells the direction, since the compass uses your spawn point as the middle point. Yes, I do agree, it seems quite useless, but can be fitting for aesthetics...

Indeed. I checked the Minecraft Wiki, and apparently what seems to be a new biome is planned. Cherry trees, sunflowers, tulips, lavender, paeonia, ... it's like a whole new grassland. Groves, more like it. From the looks of it, it seems as though the idea of adding seasons is at hand.

i hope we can cook the sunflower seeds to eat for a small amount of hunger.
calling either the clouds method or the sun method confusing is quite a stretch, both are still valid however.
what was confusing however back in the 1.9 days was finding out the hard way that E/W and N/S redstone inverter torches behaved much differently to each other.

i keep making the same mistake, i think "oh, i've given them a few months, surely it'll be fixed by now" THAT is why i seem to ALWAYS be angry to some of you, my advice is to get the lead out.
there were nice things here, until the mod author threw a tantrum.
Dear morons. Stop getting butt-hurt over Minecraft getting new features. Don't be some stupid bum who is nostalgic for the original game which had ninety percent less features and ninety percent more bugs. If you want a game to be made perfectly for you learn coding and make it yourself. Besides, YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE THE NEW FEATURES.
If you don't like sunflowers, don't plant them.

Minecraft is a good game. Just because you don't like every single little detail being added doesn't give you a right to be negative.
That's what they're doing now. Bugfixes and useless content. Every mob will have it's own update - Including if they add 1 pixel worm mob.
Minecraft 2.0 was a success. People were like "YAY, FINALLY colored glass, and all that cool stuff"
But then, it's a joke. Boring, boring, and still boring, Minecraft. Colored glass, and colored light coming trough it would make people SO happy, but will they add it? No, because everything what people want, get ignored.
You know why it gets ignored? Because there are already plugins that do that. If they don't add some original content not found in plugins, then what's the point of updating the game?
