First of I know that Bethesda Game Studios didn't sue them, it is Bethesda Softworks and lawyers.

And on your 5, that is a reason. Look up Scrolls and Skyrim, there are title comparisons. The fonts are similar, not the same, but similar. Also I've read the first page of the letter translated from Swedish. It says stuff like "similar content" and "graphical similarities". So it is not just about the word Scrolls, its that they contain similar content with similar titles.

The lawsuit is legit, Notch is being sued because of his game Scrolls, which has content very similar to that of The Elder Scrolls, so yea in order to keep them from being mixed up Notch gets sued.
