Bethesda earned alot of my respect after they made Morrowind, and every other game afterwards, so I really hope that they don't really have much to do with this, and that it's just lawyers or something.

"find the egg carton to exit the spherical pinetree complex" - A wise man.
the one sueing everyone in this post is Mojang to us cause we use the word scrolls, they own the word, check the name of the game, it is "Scrolls" a word, as much as everyone says "you can't own a word" it is true -you can own it-, the trademark copyright of Mojang's in-game development is scrolls.
basically the sue is "cause we don't want Mojang sueing us for all of our money for using 'The Elder -Scrolls-', just cause we didn't thought of copyright the word first" but it gives them better face to say it would confuse Mojang's trademark game with theirs.
i really don't care who owns what word, i like games from both Bethesda and Minecraft >_<
Summary of lawsuit details:
"Ya see, we own 'THE ELDER SCROLLS', and since it has 'scrolls' in it, we own it, and you can't make a game called 'SCROLLS' because we own that word."
Similar sentence:
"Dude, me and my friend came up with 'derp' on our way back from camp, so you're not allowed to use the word."
Year the douche said that to me: 2009
Year 'derp' was circulated online according to my research: 1998 (The word was used in a movie released that year.)
Just what does either group think?
Whether it's my douche associate or Bethesda Softworks layyers, both are just as idiotic.

There are many topics about this on the Bethesda forums, elder forums ect which are all locked because "you cant discuss legal matters there". They don't tell you why, other than you can't do it.
It's so they can cover their ass. Thankfully they don't delete the posts, but instead lock the threads.
to everybody saying you cant sue a word you are wrong.
In fact, Mojang is trying to own a word, scrolls. The problem with Bethesda's suing is that they never copyrighted scrolls (they copyrighted "Elder Scrolls" not "Scrolls" itself)
But on another note, I find it strange that the copyright-infringement-lawsuit-steamroller that is The Walt Disney Company©®™ has not yet made a move against Mojang on the design of the Creeper.
No. Just...no.

scrolls. sue me.
You can't own a word.
Even if you could, its unethical.
