What the frack is that crazy person talking about? Well i have a little suprise for them "SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" Now we have use for creepers Oh and bye the way. Scrolls.
Something simialr happened with the game "Mirrors Edge" where the developers started suing the crap out of anyone who used the word "Edge" in their game, luckily the "Mirrors Edge" developers lost the case and had to pay a hug fee, So guys I doubt anything bad will happen to you.
No, there's a company that calls themselves Edge, they trademarked the word "Edge", and sue everybody that uses the word. They sued EA over Mirror's Edge and lost. They've also sued several other companies. Basically all Edge does is.. nothing of importance, just suing people.
So because the parent company of a company that makes games sues a company you like, you will never buy a game from the company that made games even though it was the parent company who sued? sigh, the world is full of morons.
ps. STOP SPAMMING SCROLLS!
sorry buddy but guess what. Bethesda is Bethesda. no matter how you look at it.... SCROLLS
Very unreasonable, obviously just tryng to make a media incident out of this to get more media on them. As well as a chance to put minecraft down, since it's obviously growing fast.
It's not Bethesda in the wrong here. It's the law itself that's at issue. The law says if Bethesda does not protect a copyrighted trademark, that trademark can become public due to fair game. All they're doing is making sure that they don't lose the "Elder Scrolls" trademark, and arguably, their biggest franchise. If you want to blame anyone, blame copyright laws.
If somebody made a game called "Elder Scrolls" than Bethesda should sue them. But this game is "Scrolls" which is not the same.
And this surprises you guys why?
I actually understand Bethesda Softworks point. It is all about peoples concept of association. When i think about either the words Elder or scrolls, I know im talking about morrowind. Bethesda Softworks doesn't want neither of those words to be associated with nothing else but their games, and thats understandable. And they are allowed to do this, because they own the image that comes with the word Scrolls or elder, they have copyrighted those words in the game community.
They didn't copyright the word scrolls. They copyrighted the title "Elder Scrolls"; both words together. So Bethesda is most likely going to lose this, just like Edge lost the court cases against other companies that used the word "edge" in their name.

Bethesda is going to lose popularity because of this, people look at "Elder Scrolls" and "Scrolls" and realize they aren't the same. And it doesn't put Minecraft or Mojang down because people don't think "Scrolls" was copied off "Elder Scrolls".
If you are really gonna trademark a single word.. then better go and destroy half the games that have already been released that share the same word >.> what the ****... Scrolls.....scrolls..scrolls.. oh look nothings happening. Bethesda is just wasting money on this lawsuit ... shouldn't be to worried.
Stupid person: Hey McDonalds I am suing you because your coffee burnt me and I didn't know it was hot
McDonals: Coffee is normally hot.....
I laugh when I see people mention this. The lawsuit wasn't because the coffee was hot. It was because the coffee was brewed to a temperature that was much hotter than the cup was designed and rated to handle. And she won because she was right. They had brewed the coffee to a temperature that it should not have been brewed to. McD's required the coffee to be brewed at a temperature that was near boiling point. Don't quote stuff like this without actually knowing what you are talking about.
Why not just ask if Mojang could use a different word instead of suing them for the rights to such a simple word? Go pick on someone your own size Bethesda!
