WELL NEVER MIND IT LOOKS LIKE PEOPLE DON'T FEEL LIKE READING! still bashing the games this community can be very stupid or very smart right now they are leaning to stupid.
I don't seem to understand why a lot of people are going all e-rage on Bethesda now. I'm still going to buy TES: V and I'm still going to play Minecraft either way. Yeah suing them is a d*** move, but it wasn't all of Bethesda (as previously stated over 9000 times in past posts), so not buying a copy of a Bethesda game won't help. Bethesda makes great games, and the future is bright for Mojang right now. Either way, in the end, this probably won't really matter.
This is just an example of what is wrong with America...civil lawsuits like this are pointless, and the lawyers doing these cases get paid to do common sense stuff. Just think back to the McDonald's coffee case...suing someone for a common sense issue and winning upwards of $500,000...good ol' justice.
That's so silly! they can't sue Mojang for using the word scrolls especially because they can't sue for use of a word that has been in the english language for longer than knowledge of the North American continent!
they can and they did, scrolls is some medieval magic, adventure style game similar to how the elder scrolls is also a medieval game with magic and such and of course Bethesda wants their game to be the first game that comes up when you google scrolls like it has been for years(but wont anymore), so they sue to try and protect their established trademark so there wont be games popping up with names like call of scolls for example.
also note that company´s sue for all kinds of stuff like this, i remember a year ago some orange softdrink company sued another company for using the same colour on their orange sofdrink packaging as they did (the logos and such were not similar at all but they won none the less cause they had an established product)
(also the word scroll is not older then the knowledge of the north american continent )
While I agree that trading card games are incredibly boring, how did the Elder Scrolls series get so popular? It's so incredibly boring. The only thing i've managed to do is complete Fallout 3 and Fallout: NV at least once each. I bought Oblivion and played it for a good 3 hours and said to myself: "Holy ****, this game is so boring... What's with all the praise?" After asking that on a forum and being attacked by rabid Bethesda fanboys that gave no actual answer, I simply dropped the game altogether. If Skyrim is anything like that, it'll be boring as all hell too. I can't be the only one who finds their most popular series boring as hell.
This is stupid. How can you be sued for using a word? Now if I make a game named "The Prank Call", i'll be sued because Call is on Call of Duty, and that game is propiety of Infinity Ward? Jesus, copyright went too far away. What's next? Forbidding us to use any communication method because all the letters are copyrighted?
im pretty sure that i came up with the word scroll. i said it right out of the woom. "Mom get me a damn computer so i can scroll down minecraftforum.net" i gave mojang right to use it not the elder scrolls. we should sue them for sueing for the most stupidiest reason ever really. thats like the infenity ward sueing world of warcraft for the word war.. i mean really! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha funny. mojang just sue them for being gay you gotta love minecraft no reason to sue any company really ther both good, but i have to give it to minecraft because they made people love a boxed game with not so good grafics but its one of the best games out there. no other game is like minecraft except terraria and all those remakes of minecraft on xbox live. haha which all suck and notch should be sueing them... well thats my opinion so thanks for reading bye
Problem Minecrafters. Bethesda makes better games than Mojang.
Also, Call of Duty is not owned by Infinity Ward nor Treyarch. It is owned by Activision Blizzard. Treyarch and Infinity Ward are owned by Activision Blizzard too.
Furthermore, George Lucas owns the word Droid. And that is a true story.
I know right. The people are morons. Also lol at people who think their sueing for right to the word. It even sais in the article that they're working on a compromise.
Mojang just needs to learn that now hes up with the big boys. Not some little devs that wount fight back or worse get along. Hes with the big boys that fight for whats theirs.
this reminds me of a pen and paper Indy Rpg company who makes the rifts rpg who started that game back in 1988-89 and when the game rift was getting allot of hype while in it's beta. the indy pen and paper company sued saying the same thing they are against mojang in the end the video game developer won.

I have no idea why I do this.

Cease and Desist means stop or get sued by the way.
