this reminds me of the case where star wars copywrited the word 'droid'
if you have ever played runescape you would see that they use 'scroll' more than once but they are not sued because they are a big named company. so you can probably see why i am so angry. Bethesda you make good games but what you think is write is 100 percent wrong

Looks like someone didn't read that they are separate entities, one within the other. You do relieze that Bethesta Software porbably had little more then funding into the creation of ideas for and production of games such as Oblivion, don't you? :3

I actually thought this was a joke at first. How exactly is their case going to hold up? No company can simply "own" a word much less sue another company for making a game with "their" word in the title. That's like saying: "Oh, you're calling them Endermen?! Ender roughly sounds like Elder, so we're ****ing suing you!!"

It doesn't make sense that Bethesda is suing Mojang for using the word "Scrolls" for an upcoming game. If the game isn't even done, just in dev, and they don't own the word, why spazz out about this? I can understand "Elder Scrolls" as being an issue, but just "Scrolls"? I like Bethesda's games, and have (not so much now) respect for them, but honestly, chill. It's still in dev, so no reason to yell and sue.

Guys I think Bethesda is high again. But if not.

this is freaking BS. I mean, you cant sue someone for the world "scrolls". First of all, the game isn't even like the games bethesda has made. I guess their just to paranoid that they have competition. I mean like, WHAT THE HELL. They don't own the word "scrolls", so they can't sue for it. Why don't they get over that its name is "scrolls" and it has very little to do with their games.

Wait, i wonder what all of their fans are thinking of this. Because im fairly sure that most people that play Minecraft are fans of Bethesda, but now i'm pretty sure that they aren't anymore. I guess they just wanted to lose fans.

Thats the worst reason to sue ever. Say i were to make a game called scrolls of elders would they sue me for that too?
