This is pathetic Bethesda! You need to leash your lawyers and get a grip on reality here!

I actually thought this was a joke when I read it.

Bethesda just wants some of Mojang's considerable fortune. I doubt they'll get ant money.

scrolls were around before any of this was invented! bethesda needs to cool it cause maybe God should sue her or him for using the words elder and scrolls cause she never even made the words. wow she/he is ridiculus, now people might not want to play their game cause they sued mojang

I'd love to see the legal document where she has the sole rights to the word 'Scrolls.' Oh right, you can't own words, silly me.

We should all e-mail Bethesda with a single word 'Scrolls.' See how many of us she tries to sue for using her word.

I really think people should stop complaining about this. Im not trying to be rude but sometimes things happen. I dont think its that fair either. but seriously. I dont think the games can be mixed up.

What I suggest is that everyone start writing emails to Bethesda Softworks Here, and to their parent company ZeniMax Here to complain about the mistreatment of Mojang and Notch. I sent them a very long email about how quite a few of their fans are also minecraft fans, and how they would probably lose a lot of customers if they continue to bully Mojang around.

Bethesda's LAWYERS are suing Mojang, NOT the developers. Before you go unfairly judging on of the best game developing companies out there, next to Valve and Mojang, you should all learn to read the actual thread, instead of just freaking out. You're all being incredibly immature about the whole matter, a company's lawyers should not reflect the quality of their games, and you shouldn't stop playing tem just because the lawyers are idiots.

that's quite immature if you'd ask me. It's not like they own the word. It's like me suing my classmate for having the same first name as I do.

On the legal side of things,
You can trademark a slogan or short phrase if you can prove originality, but you can't trademark a single word.

Like that would hold up in court. Just because they're using "Scrolls" as the title, doesn't mean it has anything to do with Elder Scrolls and personally, if it happens; they can forget me purchasing Skyrim. Well... maybe.

This is stupid as hell. I love Bethesda and I love Mojang, but I know that Bethesda is just using this to get more money.
