Stupidest thing I have ever heard of between game companies. Bethesda, ARE YOU HIGH? Notch was even PROMOTING you game, yet, you go and be a **** and sue Mojang? WTF is this?
My respect is now lost, I only respect the games now, not the company. This is bull.
Bethesda won't win, they can't own a single word and stop other games from being made using that word. Their lawyers are going to feel really bad when they get their ass kicked in court by an INDIE GAME developer.
Despite Bethesda's major dun goofing, I'm still looking forward to Skyrim.
RikeuAmeva: You are an idiot. and useing the same "troll" ******** god damnit that is old everyone that sais that deserves a stake through the heart.
And no the fact that this was made public and put on the front page was very childish and MORONIC, trying to get there fans wriled up so they can stroke mojangs penis for a couple days and bash an ACTUAL GOOd. company
While it may come across as childish to you, I personally appreciate that this was posted to the public. I am a fan of both companies for completely different reasons, and the concept of this case is ridiculous, but I wouldn't have even known about it otherwise.
I'd consider it the same if Blizzard tried to sue the World of Goo creators or Minecraft for similar reasons. It's a word. A company's level of title creativity shouldn't matter. What matters is the originality/similarity of the content, and from what I can tell, the games are nothing alike.
About Notch tweeting about it, that's not something I have an opinion on, so uh.. *shrug*
EDIT: I should state that if Notch called the games "World of Minecraft" or "The Old Scrolls", I might be understanding. But come on.
