You guys do know this is just to gain more publicity for their game, right? It also goes vice versa for minecraft.....no publicity is bad publicity, unless your Casey Anthony of course.

Seriously Bethesda? WTF man. This is just ****ing ridiculous. It's like me suing Bethesda because I happened to use the word "the" in a book title and there game "THE Elder Scrolls" has "the" in the title.
This really isn't fair. It's an obvious attempt by Bethesda to get attention to the Elder Scrolls series. What kind of half-assed excuse is "They might get them mixed up"?
I say that if they sue Mojang, we, and the other 3 million Minecrafters, should boycott buying Skyrim, and RAGE for that matter.
That's like Tabasco suing Heinz for the word 'sauce'.
Both are sauces. One doesn't have any more right to use the word 'sauce' in their title or advertising.
Tabasco is an older company than Heinz, but that doesn't give Tabasco authority over a word in their brand.

This is unfair you should not get sued just because of the word scroll, the company that is sueing should be taken down because microsoft uses words like scroll wheel, and scroll bar
It's sad that people are trying to claim single words... I mean, phrases and such, sure. But this is just ridiculous. They do not own the word "Scrolls". I hope that they do sue and I hope that they lose. That's just stupid.
Bethsada lawyers, why not go sue every website with the word "scrolls" in it. Have fun sueing over 8 millions websites, not including forigen websies.. Oh and, you need to sue all the dictionary companies, including international, sue all the flash game developers, and lets not forget, sue anyone who uses the word in verbel speech

Has Bethesda copyrighted the WORD "scrolls" now? I am pretty sure they can't. It is JUST a word, and would only break copyright if it had "Elder" before it, or if it was set in Tamriel. Bethesda makes good games, but they are being like many companies, suing for anything that sounds remotely similar to their product or franchise. I have lost a lot of respect for bethesda now.

I think that is just crazy and i hope this is all a misunderstanding. would this have happened if minecraft did not turn out to be a hit? Are they just jealous or worried? I never even put the two games together in my mind until i read about this and i still do not get the two together after. two different games . the word does not even link the two. any other games with the words "the" elder" and "scrolls" better look out.
