Well Bethesda, if you think you can have copyrights over a fricken word of the english language, your dang wrong dumbo. ITS A WORD OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE GODDAMNIT. IMA USE THIS TO BLOW YOUR ASS UP *****!
It DOES make a little sence. What if a stupid person sees both games and thinks Elder Scrolls is a sequel to the other game? Other than that it doesn't make any sence at all, and I'm sure nobody would get them mixed up. Even if somebody does get them mixed up they will end up (maybe) buying BOTH games.

Why put off 'till tomorrow what we can do today? Because there are spiders out there!
Guys, this does seem legitimate. I say that because it is the name of the game and as a Elder Scrolls player, I can tell you that some people just refer to that series as Scrolls. If it was an item I don't think they would have any problem. You all need to remember that the people over at Bethesda love Minecraft. They play it all the time.
It would be like if someone came along and made a game called Collect'n'Craft. I would want Notch to sue/issue a desist order. If it CAN be confused, it should be prevented.
Okay.. people in this thread think Notch is making "the Elder Scrolls" and that Bethesda is a woman...?
Of course this is the stupid ploy of some lawyers looking for a meal ticket. They don't own the ancient concept of scrolls, and scrolls have nothing to do with the Elder Scrolls series. How could you ever confuse a famous action RPG with a puzzle game, or whatever Scrolls is going to be?
I wonder if the people agreeing with Bethesda even know what scrolls are.
Wow Bethesda, your first legal battle was with Interplay, another small game development company, and now Mojang, another small game development company? Your trying to claim a word ("scrolls") that has been in the English language for hundreds upon hundreds of years, way before the word or perception or even the conception of the words ("sue" or "lawsuit")? My theories: Bethesda legal department just wants to cash in on Mojangs money (3 million copy's sold recently) or they are just plain-old pricks.
Bethesda, you guys are amazing game developers, but you should fire your entire legal department, and hire some damn play testers for Skyrim!
I was checking the blog and saw the article about this case.
That's pretty much the most asinine case in the history of lawsuits. Just using one word can get you sued when you don't intend to infringe any other gaming companies' copyrights. What's that? Trying to bankrupt an innocent indie game creator just for something he DIDN'T intend to do? But then again, Notch should be careful next time. I know this happened out of nowhere.
Are Bethesda's lawyers LOSING THEIR MIND? It's just a part of some word and overreaction happens for an IRRELEVANT reason.
Better watch out blizzard they have "scroll of resurrection" or the term Side SCrollers .... Or dungeon scroll or txt scroll, Ill be going back to gamestop to get my depoist of 5$ back on Skyrim for that little shot and i may just pick up a extra minecraft account to help support Them insted. As well as ppl on my face book and in my guilds in wow. Notch and the ppl at mojang Are the little people in the one and ppl like me stand up for them.

That's a nice forum you got there.... It'd be a shame if something happened to it....
