this is more stupid than all the doomsday theories combined! Only PART of the name was used. Where's the document that says she owns that word. What's next, T.S.R gets sued for the use of scrolls? I had some respect for bethseda for making the elder scrolls series, but just because the made that series, doesn't mean that they own the words elder or scrolls!
I would pursue the common language angle. I would guess that most people have known what scrolls were for a lot longer than bethesta has been around.
Honestly if you named a game called scrolls I would guess a title relating more to a puzzle game. Whereas Elder Scrolls makes me think of poorly written software that caused hardware and software failure in my old rig.
dude wth bethesda? minecraft uses a word related to a game you own on a game thats still in deep development and you sue them??? just why? no one is going to confuse 'Scrolls' with 'The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim' people dont abbreiviate your games Scrolls. they either say elder scrolls(I-V) or just the name of that particular game in the series (i.e. Morrowind,Oblivion,Skyrim, etc.) why are you big shot companies picking on an up and coming indie developer?

After years of being despised, I'm unable to open my heart to anyone.
Now that's just stupid! I mean allot of games have the word "scrolls" in it. Why doesn't he sue those?
Oh, that's right! Why sue those games when you can sue a developer of an extremly popular, and still developing game!! I see Big $$$ from that!
i think they're just afraid when people do a search for the scrolls game they'll come up with the elder scrolls game and right under it will be Mojangs scrolls game and people will see it and be like "A GAME MADE BY NOTCH WITH THE WORD SCROLLS IN IT!!! [email protected]*#!!! SKYRIM!!! Im playing Notch's game!!!!" LOL
I hope Mojang will stand their ground on this simply on principle, but they'll probably cave because the word "scrolls" isn't worth the money in legal fees it would take to keep it.
