CHANGES:
Render distance now goes up to 8 chunks instead of 16
Now its a bug, tbh who would know, Mojang have shown countless times incompetence for slack bug testing with endless updates including the official non crapshot releases.
Now they get to look liked the fixed something that they broke in first place, never mind actually making higher render distances possible.
And notch is tighter than pin, woopdee friggin doo they added shaded glass, something they did already and couldn't be bothered to release earlier.
No doubt safari biome will still have wooly sheep or whatever other pathetic retardedness because they can't even be bothered to reskin horse with a zebra skin. Let along actually just friggin add more animals. Fish only appear on a fishing rod, oceans, rivers, etc still looks dead and void of life unless you count retarded squids.. another one of jebs hair brain ideas no doubt?

I haven't played Minecraft in quite a long time, but I wish they'd work out an in-game crafting recipe database. It'd make sense if it was just a special type of book even, that has to be transported. Which adds a note of realism, that if you forget, and lose or fail to bring this book with you, you'd have to piece together how to do things again.
Granted in reality you can (and the player likely would) just Google it. But I get the feeling they're holding back on implementing such a basic and necessary thing for that sort of reason. Maybe I'm just bad at figuring how to craft X unfamiliar item, but the book approach would add a reward of a sort to the "discovery" element.
Agreed I am fed up, completely fed up, of having to keep alt tabbing out of the game to find out how to craft something. It's ridiculous and Xbox don't have to do it!

Glass Panes and Iron Bars are rendered differently, and are 2 pixel thick boxes
Stained Glass Crafted the same way as Stained Clay, but with glass
Stained Glass Panes Crafted the same way as regular glass panes, but with Stained Glass. This only yields 6 panes instead of the normal 16 (possibly a bug)
Iron Bars now connect to Glass Panes
Iron Bars and Glass Panes now connect to Glass
Rewrite of the network code
Game doesn't pause anymore, instead a timelapse of what happened is played when resuming the game (possibly a bug)
Reworked the Server List
Added server icons
Lists the current players on a server when you hover over the player number
Added Support for multi-line MOTD comments
Removed support for MOTD comments going offscreen
Changes of Video Settings screen
Render distance now goes up to 8 chunks instead of 16
1 thing i wish was fixed that you can see in the new glass pains. If you have 2 stacked on top of each other you can see the top between the 2. This looks like a seam and not 1 big piece of glass. This is also true with the original glass pains but you don't see this when the blocks are stacked.
Anyone else think that some of these updates MAY have been inspired from mods (e.g. stained glass and more flowers)
Well yeah more mobs(horses): Mo' Creatures Mod, HD/animated textures: mcpatcher even Pistons (Not sure what the original was called). Minecraft has a tendency to take the best and most popular mods and incorporate them in to the vanilla version. For some reason there is a lot of of people who get upset when Mojang makes it's own version of a mods, but I think its a good thing. When a mod is Incorporated all it really means is people who don't like or don't know how to install mods will be able to to use more features. The original mod creators usually still have a better versions (EX:Piston mod could launch items through the air not just move them) but it's still nice to have the basic item in the game.
