I totally agree they should. I find these sharers rather disappointing in fact when I saw the video title I thought, "OH SWEET! YES THEY FINALLY ADDED SOME SHADERS LIKE IN GSLS SHADERS MOD!." But I can now see I'm probably never going to use any of these accept for 1 or 2 for playing on. Yeah some look kinda cool and fun to mess with but their nothing compared the gsls shaders. How hard can it be for the actual creators of the game to create an option for awesome shaders like gsls?

I'm not overly keen on the map covering the whole block when placed in an item frame. Aesthetically the border of the paper and the frame itself looked better when hung on the wall of one's house. Covering the whole side of a block, while easier to read, I think looks...I don't know...worse?
but now you can put maps of adjacent areas next to each other without having massive gaps between them
Snapshot not working in Linux / Ubuntu Envirioment with Mesa DRI Drivers in a Intel GMA 3150 with 256 MB of shared memory and OpenGL 2.0. In windows and OpenGL 1.4 works perfectly.
It get stuck in "OpenAL initialized", using 104% of the CPU (1 core and a little bit of the second).

Is anyone else having trouble with beacons? The "beam" will not appear in any games, new or old. Yes, I've quadruple checked to make sure it had a clear view of the sky, and they still function besides (I get the buffs). The energy beam is my favorite part.

But cheap video cards off of amazon for about 15 bucks can get you a video card that supports at least 3.2 and higher. MAC OSX supports 3.2, Windows and Linux Ubuntu can support up to 4.3 as well.

That's a pretty poor perspective. Besides, they regularly have bug fix patches. This is useful content that opens up a lot for modding and adventure maps and the like.

Not allot of people will be able to purchase a new pc to continue playing minecraft. Not adding support for older pc's will hurt mojang than help.
Exactly. Most of today's computers can handle it. If your on a computer that can't, then your computer is extremely old and most likely you don't have a decent video card in the first place. But cheap video cards off of amazon for about 15 bucks can get you a video card that supports at least 3.2 and higher. MAC OSX supports 3.2, Windows and Linux Ubuntu can support up to 4.3 as well.
That's a pretty poor perspective. Besides, they regularly have bug fix patches. This is useful content that opens up a lot for modding and adventure maps and the like.
Besides, it is just one snapshot out of many, all of which create a single "update." They are merely doing us the favor of seeing what they did this week.
