Hey I thought minecraft was a game for building. Yes I know we do parkour, pvp, etc. But really, "putt-putt"? This is ridiculous. Come on guys. All minecraft needs now is to add that. Next thing you know, 1.7 will have roller costers, cotton candy, and o yah, maybe some pink unicorns. All I need is a minecraft skin, some wood, and a minecraft default world and im ready to go. But seriously, "putt-putt"? Wow very disappointed.

The amount of over-reaction in this thread is amusing.
What I love is theres this awesome Star Wars mod and Disney/LA doesn't seem to care, but this little rinky dink company seems to care about something as simple as a map.
Often, the legal department of a company will automatically send cease-and-desist letters to anything their searches turn up that might match their criteria, without reviewing the material in detail. This can seem like a senseless action to anyone who's not been a part of a major corporation's legal team; however, they often have oceans of these kinds of claims to sort through, and it's often simpler to send out blanket requests, with the expectation that legitimate claims will be responded to. For the rest of us, it can result in hilarious misfires, like this one.
Well, although this may have been a misfire, this is surely not going to end well for their business when thousands of Minecrafters start spamming them or making videos labeled 'Putt Putt' to spite them. xD

And I looked through the letter Notch posted on twitter, that says MOJANG might be making money of of this.

Actually they are un-able to sue or file a lawsuit. they have Putt-Putt trademark... Not Putt Putt. Therefor they are unable to sue or file a lawsuit for a phrase that they do not own. They may own "Putt-Putt" , But they do not own "Putt Putt".
