Yay! My slab ceilings no longer show what's on top of them! I could do without the bright lines at block corners, but I figure they'll fix that in a snapshot. And like Lapis Lupus, I've been saving the Nether in my new world so that I can play with Nether Quartz. Automatic chicken farm with hoppers, woo!

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
IT would be nice if theres pipes for hoppers to chests, We can do mailboxes! Then a hollow slab so the pipe will go in so theres no hole in the ground.
I got the update at 1:00 today on the east coast. Oh and you forgot to mention one of the new features is makes mineforge disabled. My mineforge has i stopped working on 1.5 so i had to downgrade back down to my 1.4.7 and as soon as i switched back to 1.4.7 it started working again. And no i know what youre thinking its not because i forgot to download mineforge for 1.5 I made sure to do that as soon as i updated. This isn't the last update (as Mojang had previously said) theres going to be 1.6 click the link i mean why would they stop at such an odd number if anything it will probably stop at 2
This does seem like a really cool update, but after trying it out, many of the things I have built with redstone in the past have broken because of the timing changes. Can we please put the timing back the way it was?
Other than that, love the new blocks, items, and naming mobs and creatures!
If a world chunk is previously loaded, it won't change when you update it.... You'll have to go past where the world has already loaded to get Nether Quartz Ore, it will never appear where you've already been. Me, I made a world months ago but waited until now to go to the Nether so that that wouldn't happen. I worry about that happening to me with the 1.6 update though, because supposedly new mobs are being added and I want them to appear near my house...
SOO looking forward to playing around with all this stuff! Especially the boosted potions, custom potions FTW!
And the Comparator and the Light Sensor and EVERYTHING ELSE <calms self down> It's all great! Looking forward to more progress in the future, GO MOJANG!

Define Cute (choose 1): A) Creepers Aerbunnies C) Herobrine. If you chose A): You appeal to destruction and to stereotypes. If you chose B): You are a perfectly normal person, and enjoy the Aether Mod. If you chose C): Please leave the planet now before you set off a nuclear warhead--no one enjoys mass murders, however nice they might seem to you.
Didn't like it; well, more like totally hate it -- all I see are infuriating new bugs that make it seem more like Mine-don't-craft. OK, I don't really use redstone (except in potions), so the redstone block is nice (finally something I can do with it). The only real difference I noticed was that the crafting and inventory system were totally buggy. I now have to go painfully slow to craft at all, and it still doesn't always work. Besides that, items are dropped when I don't when simply moving them around or using a chest, and sometimes just disappear into nothing ( a stack each of wood, stone brick, and slabs were lost this way). I did get a free pick because after making 3 another was dropped from nowhere, but this stuff makes me want to rage-quit. The only reason I run it is that the server I usually play on up-dated -- otherwise I'd use MultiMC to get out of the update, and actually for SSP 1.4.7. All this makes me want to rage-quit !
I know that there's always a bit of a WIP characteristic to new releases, but I'm not sure this was ready for public release. I really am looking forward to 1.5.1 in hopes that some of this will be fixed.
Everyone I've heard from has seen bugs -- this is the first time I've ever found a significant bug (one that severely effected game play), never saw then in 1.4.x. Now its practically unplayable. The inventory bug that makes items get drop or simply disappear, or rarely turns give an extra (drop one while the original stays in the inventory) and the related crafting bug that pushing things off the crafting table, cause the orginal item to be crafted instead, or follows the wrong recipe (three planks making a button instead of a half-slab). They're constant, everywhere, and make me want to rage-quit, and everyone I know has them constantly screwing with everything (especially crafting) -- I can't believe you haven't seen them!

...And now to wait for bukkit to update...
I thought Mojang said they would not release a full version until bukkit updated from now on?
The only annoying part is all the replies where people say it's so annoying.
Seriously, it's one line in the bug list. Chill out.
