Oh yeah and and I'm really f**ked off with Mojang with the modding API constantly getting pushed back I feel they're just giving us the middle finger yeah they released 1.5 did they just forget about the API completely? Did they herp the derp? Find out in the next episode of the Mojang Story.
My maps aren't working! I had four in frames on a wall, but now they're all blank with the location blip always round and in the bottom right corner. Taking them out of the frame and looking at them does nothing, and neither does right-clicking while holding them. Their names are still on them too. Strange...
For some reason, I get these, brand new .jar, so what is this?
This is some white thing, looks like the void behind it, and I can make out certain tunnels so really, is there something wrong with the textures? Because I have never had this until I updated.
I have the exact same problem, been trying to fix it but nothing seems to work.

Still trying to repair after the crash. 1.5 doesn't work on my machine and I'm still trying to figure out how to revert back to the older version.... very sad.

If a world chunk is previously loaded, it won't change when you update it.... You'll have to go past where the world has already loaded to get Nether Quartz Ore, it will never appear where you've already been. Me, I made a world months ago but waited until now to go to the Nether so that that wouldn't happen. I worry about that happening to me with the 1.6 update though, because supposedly new mobs are being added and I want them to appear near my house...
