Isn't the next big update, which I presume will be 1.6, supposed to contain the updated lighting engine? I get so turned off exploring around in Extreme Hills biomes (which is probably my favorite area) and see all these immersion-breaking (yes, even MC has immersion) lighting bugs.
Villagers can ride Grum? I had no idea Erik Broes could hold so much weight on his back.
The villager voices caught me by surprise. See, when I'm playing Minecraft, I'm often listening to podcasts. So I hear this garbled talk & I'm thinking "how old is the equipment the podcasters are recording on?" If you've ever played a cassette tape with headphones on, you can hear the other side of the tape faintly in the background playing in reverse. So the podcast ends & I'm like "Ooooh! It was the villagers all along!"
I'm kinda surprised that all these bugfixes are for horses. I just came from Mojang's issue reporter & everyone is complaining about Villager AI.
Make texture packs? Tired of people telling you to upload better screencaps? Send me a message with a link to your pack & I can help. (Check my Planet Minecraft blogs for photography examples). http://www.planetminecraft.com/member/likalaruku/
Hmmmm.... I just downloaded the launcher and then the snapshot for the first time, and it seems a lot more laggy than 1.5.2 for me. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is this some sort of problem on my end? I usually get 25-30 fps, but I'm struggling to get 15 on the snapshot.
i have done testing but and everything think there is a glitch when i spawn a horse with the egg 2 horses spawn a regular one and one that should be a baby horse and somehow they received random damage.
this might not be possible but I was wondering if they could add something in the controls where there is a button that you click and chat with other people in multiplayer it would be fun
They should just make carpet blocks form themselves to stairs...would make them alot more usefull...and people could make coloured roofs and stairways , without added in a ton of new blocks...
Thank goodness the gave villagers sound! I have always wounder what the where saying. So the other day i played minecraft and found a village,as i was there i listen to to a villagers conservation and I concluded that they where saying "Huh Huh mmm Huh."
No, it isn't. The new lightning engine is finished, but far too slow at the moment.
I was thinking I had heard, at some point, that they had "hoped" to include the lighting updates in 1.6. If that's no longer the case (or was never the case), are you aware of them giving any other guesstimates/estimates on a possible time frame or patch number that they have targeted for the lighting updates?
They're probably not done adding stuff to the update, so perhaps more mobs will be added. Just be patient.
It's going to ruin my let's play series... until I can edit the villager sound files and remove those annoying sounds. uuuhhhg! Hate em!

Everyone's asking for the snapshot link, so here: http://mojang.com/20...napshot-13w22a/
Note: this Is just a suggestion check out the home tab search for a link that says for a new launcher or something its just for testing the stable one hasn't been released yet
