This new launcher doesn't seem like anything. Do I have the wrong one or is it the old launcher with a debug prompt attached? Haha.

Can someone please post a standalone download for the snapshot? The new launcher doesent seem to work for me.

How do you get the required java(1.6)?

I have tried taking the files in the version folder from the new launcher and placing them in
like regular minecraft files and it does not work
so it looks like new launcher will only launch the newer versions when they come out

Dang it. I wanted to get a jump on doing the horse textures...especially since it looks like there are a lot of 'em. The launcher apparently hates me. D: Y U HATE ME LAUNCHER?! I JUST WANT TO LOVE YOU.

Just a heads up for people with servers. Don't get in a minecart or it will boot you and you will not be able to get on again. We are currently having issues since we updated to the snapshot.

I'm indifferent about leashes and carpets. The only beneficial thing I see from this snapshot is the Respiration enchantment. The horses need a bit of texture-work, because it doesn't resemble the texture of the other animals. I'll slowly become okay with the fact that they're mo'creature's horses & tame one. . Hay bales.... I assume it's made with 9 wheat? Where are my dang coal blocks yo.

EDIT: I'm a bit fearful as to how this will affect mob traps, as people have said that mobs now spawn with random healths each time?

New stuff? Must try. Now. NOW!!

Btw, have a combination of Budder, Diamonds, and, if you are reading this Notch, your face. Oh, and a random feather.

Anyone else have lots of trouble with horses? I tried riding one and fighting some mobs, but it was crazy difficult. It seems I can't hit anything through the horses head half the time, and its head follows your mouse. And the system of it following your mouse is kinda annoying, I'd rather have more keyboard controlls so I can ride past something and hit them as I pass them, not run straight into them. And mobs never atack the horse, so whats the point of armor? And what are all the new GUI things for? And personaly, I think it runs a little to fast. It seems OP, and its hard to controll on tight terrain.

I still think these are really strong, and I hope they're hard to get in the final update. Not only hard to find in the wild, but hard to breed so they're hard to replace and its hard to get alot of them to suit an army on servers.

Yeah, I'm also getting a null pointer exception error when I try to get on a horse on my server. The server is updated but horses don't seem to be working quite right in multiplayer.

Is it just me that's having a huge amount of trouble finding a horse? I made a new 13w16a survival world and I've been searching for over and hour.
Also, boats seem crazy glitchy. I can barely move in them, and when I get out they're really far away. When I relog they move back to where I got out.

Is there some special way of feeding the Horse? When I right click it it just sits there and does nothing.

Okay. I just lost interest in Minecraft. First off, the amount of horse breeds are terrible. There are so many different ones out there, and they have WAY better models than a normal Minecraft mob should. Atleast three breeds of horses (like cats) should be enough for Minecraft. The Carpet and Hay Bales are okay, but I think Mojang totally ripped the carpet from the furniture mod. Another thing I don't like are the Horse Saddles. I REALLY don't think they are necessary. Mojang could have just used Notch's original one, rather then making another item to clutter up our inventory that we'll only use once. And the donkey-looking horses? Come on. This is starting to seem like a mod. Oh wait, INSPIRED from a mod. I'm not even gonna criticize the leashes. Notch would have done horses MUCH differently, and better. Disagree with me and hate me if you want, but I'm going back to Terraria. I hear it has an update coming anyway.
