Don't much care for hoses but that's cool, getting a bit tired of cows. I welcome the carpets although why not just make panels (forget the mod that manages them) that could be crafted out of pretty much any block, placed anywhere and be done with it? That + vertical redstone wiring and I'd be set for quite a while.
Hopefully we will be able to place carpets upside down eventually . That would be more usefull to me , as I could just use wool blocks for each floor of a house and could have a different colour for the ceiling underneath it .
Forgive me if this has been reported, but shouldn't we be able to USE the leads or what ever they are called? I can not get mine to work. I right click my horse, and it "snaps", i guess, the moment i put it on her. I've tamed her, I've tried saddles and armors, but... I just cant get it on her.
Edit: also, when ever I click on her with the armor, I get a duplicate item.
Not exactly a bug, it is one of two things:
Mojang was lazy (it takes a few seconds to add names to items)
Mojang was being slightly neglectful and didn't bother to test, or they just forgot about them.
I wonder if some other mo creatures mobs will be added. i guess that's a venture for later snapshots though.
EDIT: on the topic brought around by transportation of horses and mod makers implementing things, trains would be nice.
Minecraft is now my favorite game!!! Horses, leads, horse armor, carpet, respiration bonuses... Donkeys???? Finally horses, maybe Mojang could add craftable wagons pulled by horses in the next update. Stage Coaches cargo wagons, what ever.Also, maybe the ability to put chests/ tables/ furnaces/ enchantment labs in the back of wagonsOr, a built in storage space, say with the capacity of a large chest ( two chests put next to each other so they connect and make one big one)???????

Tried it out today, and there's one thing I would like to point out. When you are riding a horse and using a sword, you can swing anywhere and it works fine, your horse doesn't get hurt. But if you hold a bow, you can shoot other mobs, including your horse. I've gotten a horse to die just by trying that.
Also, I like rruth5's idea:

Here's an idea- maybe you should add burgers (bread-meat-bread) and meat from horses, making a burger from breadx2 and horse meatx1 makes a beef burger? : D
1. Minecraft 2.0 was an April Fool's joke. Minecraft 1.6 is not a joke, but it'll be a long time before it gets to 2.0.

You have to use the new launcher to use the snapshot.
