If people like griefing or don'tmind being griefed, then they go on griefing servers. If you don't like griefing then just go on a server where your builds are highly protected. Simple.
The song's really good, I've had it stuck in my head for the whole day, but the animation could be a little bit better.
This sums it up. If you don't enjoy the griefing aspect of the game, just play in a server where there is no griefing. If you DO enjoy the added difficulty and reward of griefing, then go to that kind of server. On non-griefing servers you miss out on a lot though. They are more survival, whereas non-griefing servers are more like creative.
On griefing servers, you have to set up secret bases, traps, defenses, etc. In Vanilla, these can be incredibly elaborate, and when you start adding plugins and mods, traps and defenses become freaking amazing.

I've been waiting for a good (Minecraft) parody of PSY's great song, "Gentleman", and I'm sorry to say this isn't it. The animation isn't all that good, and neither are the subtitles, nor the lyrics. Also, it's only a few of the verses. CaptainSparklez could've done it better. Great, another video glorifying annoying acts such as griefing. You know how Nodus is being shut down? At first I thought it was because the guy had issues pop up in real life. However, he quit development of it because he was disgusted at the way the community acted with it. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? It is the biggest hack in the game, it was MADE to be a terrible thing. The same thing is here, we wonder why people grief and yet famous YouTubers put out videos that make it seem fun.
