Lol I do find this hilarious! I hadn't thought much about it with the odd designs for furniture from other blocks in place now haha. But I would also enjoy a furniture update in the future. The shelf with items on display is still something I await. Item frames got us closer

Seriously, horses? Instead of working with the already implemented mechanic of riding pigs you turn that into a silly novelty and add a completely foreign, new mob? Of all the things you could have done, you add horses. The terrain is bland, the game is still unoptimised, combat is still terrible, farming is boring, and instead you just add random stuff to the game. The game is already cluttered with things no real survivor player actually uses, such as the wither, the end, ect. Potion making is deffinately a stretch for single player survival, even on hard mode. We have anvils and enchanting so we can be EVEN MORE op at stunlocking everything in heart pounding click fests, and now we have horses. Maybe next you'll add a diamond overworked boss who, when killed, drops a diamond sees, which can be then turned into a potion of diamond skin, making you invincible forever in every circumstance, because seriously, who cares about silly things like survival and exploration? Now adays all the cool reddit kids want ponies and l33t bosses so they can brag on their let's plays in their 280p jerry-rigged recording setup.

Why do people seem to hate horses here so much?

Really, it confuses me greatly. How can a beast that assisted mankind with travel and industry back in the in the days before the engine (Both steam and combustion) goad such resentment/ disrespect? They even rode in to war with us shed blood with us and died with us? I'm not saying you should all love them but sheesh... there's a heap of horrid horse hate here...

Really, why do you hate them so much? Was there this much hate for taming wolves? Ohh who am I kidding there's a mod out there named after that hate (Better then Wolves Mod).

So haters gonna hate I guess...

It's because addind random crap doesn't make the game better, all wolves have ever done are kill wild sheep and attack your friends if they accidently punch you. They are terribly unhelpful and incredibly stupid, they are always liable to get killed by walking into fire, off a cliff, or into lava. Horses, something completely foreign to the game, will litterally serve no purpose other than to be your stupid car, sonething saddled pigs would do if they hadn't made those horrible to steer. When there's so much else to be desired, adding borderline useless mobs is the last thing the game needs.

I have a theory.

Remember when Mojang said "We will be concentrating on particular subjects with each update. Such as the "Redstone Update" all about redstone.

Perhaps, horses are a sign of a mobs/friendly mobs update? Could this just be the beginning of things to come.

PS Also as a parting thought I would like to propose the name for the update to be:
"The Wild Update" Just saying it fits ok and horse thats pretty wild.

PPS Screw my PS, The Wild Update is when the mod API actually happens, that will be wild!

Mod API will never happen because jeb is implementing 30 styles of decorative cobble.

yay horses. By the way i was flying around my world testin out stuff and in the middle of a frozen lake there was a totally random boat. It wasnt a boat made for like survival though it was a giant like ship with chests and emerald ore it was the weirdest thing. it totally boggled my mind. especially cause I DIDNT MAKE IT!!!!! o.O WAHHHHH???

if minecraft was free, i wouldn't complain, but it's not and mojang is filthy rich. I see no reason why i should feel like i can't complain about something that i don't like, especially when i payed for it.

This makes me wonder how the mlp mods are going to function after this, namely Mine Little Pony. It'll be useful for putting more characters into your world via texture packs, but a pony riding a horse now...hm...

Well sorry if I come off as rude or trying to personally attack you, but *some* of us are sick and tired of taking crap from other people about the things we enjoy, especially when a joke is veiled so thinly as such. If you meant no real harm so be it, I'll take your word for it. But the way you worded it came off as offensive. I get that the mlp fandom has as many ­"crap" ­heads as people have breaths in their bodies (darn the word regulation on here). I get that certain sectors have the gross-outs, the cloppers, and what have you. And I get that the fact that they exist is an ironic joke in and of itself. But throwing around something like that, even humorously like you did, can be a potent inciter. Again, sorry that I kind of exploded at you, but when you're as used to getting true crap­ thrown in your face and not light-hearted jokes you get a little sensitive over time.

Finally.. Horses, now Minecraft World have a Make sense rather than pig eating carrots and i also hope that Horse size NOT as same as Pig. Glad they going to Release this

They should make the horses like those in 2.0, because why would someone go spend '2 years' on 2.0 then backtrack to 1.6, then release 2.0 later? Complete waste of time.
