Why!!!!!!!! (*sniff*) All I ever wanted was to always have the newest version of minecraft and for horses to cease to exist. Now I have to never update minecraft again. Thanks for the fun times, I guess, Now I have to play my own custom modpack for the rest of my life. (In case anyone wants to know what the pack is, It is like the Yogscast's new FTB pack, but with minecraft 1.5.1 and EE2 instead of EE3. Also, it has no stupid steve's carts or railcraft or thaumcraft.)

1.5 was the redstone update. They haven't said (to my knowledge) what 1.6 is going to be. What if it's going to be the animal update? If they're working with the Mo' Creatures guy, then maybe we're going to see a TON of new animals, and horses will just be one of them.
I will never understand the absolute, utter hatred people have towards updates. I paid like $20 or less for this game and I've been playing it for years. That's a fantastic return for my investment. And all you people can do is complain.

According to Wiki: New mobs (Horses, and possibly other mobs such as birds, eagles, etc. though more mobs for 1.6 are possible), launcher update, Java 5 and PowerPC user usage will be dropped. Nice!
