Farlanders sounds like a nomad tribe of people breeding horses. Enderman sounds more scary, as the name includes End, meaning that they'll end your life.
Oh I see, the cobblestone is retextured and I think this is in an NPC village. Perhaps since the buildings are intact the endermen will only be able to select certain natural blocks such as: Dirt, Gravel, Sand And maybe Clay?

I think i know why. you know how the Minecraft world is infinite? You know, new chunks being generated when you get near the end of one? well, it isn't actually infinite. Here's why. As the world gets bigger(as you travel farther and farther from your spawn), it takes up more space on your computer, and it gets more buggy. when you get to a point, it becomes super buggy and almost impossible to play. This point is called "The Farlands." I don't know why this would have a connection. im not sure it does.
I personally like Endermen more, but Farlanders are hinting towards the 'Farlands' in Minecraft, because they're strange block formations everywhere. Endermen: Like more. Farlanders: Makes more sense.
Overall pick:
Endermen.

Sometimes, I like to eat large slabs of cement from the sidewalk.
Oh, and I'm a brony.
Ya, I think thats an npc village, so it looks like they can build with (if its the endermen/farlanders who build) stone and glass too, maybe if they build with glass they can craft? (to get glass you need to get a furnace, to get a furnace you need stone, to get stone you need a pick, or they can just pick it up I guess :D)
Is that pumpkin part of the skin, or is it like Terraria where you can wear items on your head? Notch has already been inspired by Terraria's bosses, so why not other features?

How do you know we don't know what the Far Lands are? Maybe we just like the name Endermen better than Farlanders?

Yes, but it sounds illogical, considering you do not have to go to the Farlands to see them.
Also, if you read Notch's blog post about them, you'll see why they arn't attacking. They only attack once you look away.
I wonder what they will drop? A new Item? Obsidian?
Overall pick:
Endermen.
